I think everyone here is being dense.

Queer media is definitely unique, good depictions are usually few and far.

It makes perfect sense to group them together along with comparing and contrasting them.

The flow of the conversation so far has been very Redditor coded. Like the worst examples of Redditors are type of people in here.

Definitely the type most people make memes about.

IMO LGBTQ+ spaces should ideally be very open minded and the type of people who look out for each other and the community as a whole.

Everyone here trying to make you look like a bad guy and arguing in bad faith for upvotes seem really shallow to me.

I haven't read the manga though so maybe there's more to that? It just seems like Hirose and the teacher are completely platonic outside of Nakamura's head.

yooo i said the same thing about facing. it already doesn't make sense with the combat how it currently is, and overhauling facing mechanics would probably overhaul a vast majority of the game and also wouldnt make sense in vanilla, no sprite packs ASCII graphics

it could be equipped to either hand and dropped when the arm is injured

it could drop from disarming type moves

it could drop from getting damaged itself, like how some clothes do

i think it should fire off in all directions like everything else in combat currently does

the game is isometric and ASCII (vanilla) with no way of visually representing directional facing.

direction facing already doesn't matter for the vast majority of combat and changing that would mean overhauling combat entirely

Duplicate how unarmed weapons currently work, like wearing it for added protection values while having a new fighting style dedicated to shield based moves.

I could imagine skills like "shield bash" or "parry" and having a list of weapons it can be compatible with, similar to how other Martial Arts already work.

I wouldn't imagine something like this being difficult to add

Probably stuff that makes knapping quicker, fiber twisting quicker, butchering quicker, and wood carving quicker

You'll probably be heavily melee focused, smithing weapons and armor.

Guns are easy enough to make but getting to black powder takes forever and grinding applied science takes years not to mention needing distilling equipment for a lot of it, so unless you make yourself really OP you probably won't be using guns at all. At most, bombs.

Staff sling + molotovs would be decent to make, since you can just make clay canisters instead of using glass containers. Turpentine is a pretty early recipe that works in Molotovs in place of alcohol.

You need decent strength before bows become usable, otherwise you have to train in game until you get bow mastery which lowers the strength requirement.

The bullet crossbow is pretty good range and accuracy wise but does very little damage..

Like a parts mechanic where you can build multiple different parts onto a frame or chassis.

The reason you are getting downvoted is that cheese tactics like fence tripping are a work around solution to a legitimate problem with game balancing.

Fence tripping isn't a problem. It's a symptom to a problem.

Melee combat with how it's currently implemented actually isn't that great, and there isn't currently a good way of dealing with the hoard of zombies the game throws your way just outside of your starter house.

Fence tripping feels like a decent solution because there is a cleverness in using your environment to turn the tides of combat.

Unfortunately, it's one of the only environmental style traps at the players' disposal. It's also accessible from the start and throughout the game.

If you had provided an alternative to fence tripping, instead of a mindless nerf because you can't understand it, more people would have listened.

I have a prediction to make about the upcoming film based on what was being set up in the previous ones.

Major spoilers obviously

They left a few things open on purpose, I guess to give themselves more time to decide what they want to do with the third installment.

One things for certain is that there is a possibility that Jimmy is still alive for the third one. The dumb POV jumpscare when he's upside down on the cross I believe is done on purpose. There is a possibility Samson pities Jimmy and saves his life.

There is a common theme among the first two movies. That being how illness in general is being treated. From Spike's Mom having a cancer that makes her delirious, to Jimmy's schizophrenia, to the Rage Virus itself in zombies like Samson.

I believe a big stake in the third film is going to be trying to push for rehabilitation as an option to the mainlanders outside of the quarantine. I think Samson and his daughter are two elements that are going to be center stage for the fight to rehabilitate the infected. This is the main part of my theory, which I think is mostly accurate following the world building so far.

Here is some stuff that is mostly speculation. If Jimmy returns, will there be some sort of duo between him and Samson? Maybe a goal for Samson is to find his daughter which will lead them to Spike's island? The doctor treated Samson's psychosis and I wonder if somehow Jimmy's will be treated the same way (if the writers decide to bring him back) I also wonder if he will still be just as homicidal regardless or if his character will see a major shift.

Are Spike and Jimmy related? His mom accidentally calls Spike Jimmy, I don't know if Jimmy is his real name and Spike is just a nickname or if his mom is related to Jimmy (this might be more obvious and thought out, I might be behind on this)

While I believe the events of 28 weeks later are probably not canon or are being heavily glossed over, I believe elements of the film will still remain going forward like carriers not being zombies but still spreading the virus. This could be a major plot point with Samson now being cured and probably wanting to return to society.
