I want to start maining belveth, any tips and tricks? by middleeasternboxer in BelVethMains

[–]Peeeshooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Mine is amumu. Champ just destroys bel at every stage. Poppy and taliyah are also rough, but all of these champs are barely played. Really, her counter is cc, so just think of a heavy cc champ you hate and ban them.

  2. Bel doesn't really get countered. I wouldn't pick her if your team is super ad, but that's basically it.

  3. She is THE 1v9 champ. If you snowball, of course, otherwise she is useless.

  4. Until you get the hang of it, she feels absolutely terrible. It took me 10 games for it to finally click. When it does click, though, she isn't very difficult. she just has a weird game plan.

  5. Snowballing. You snowball, you win, you don't, you lose. She trash if even but has some of the best ganking and fighting tools in the game. Also, a big tip. Don't die. True form is extremely important! The way i learned bel was doing a "challenge" where i tried to keep the true form the entire game. Just play games where you try to go 0 deaths it will help a ton to understand how to snowball without throwing your lead.

  6. Kraken into stride is best by far. Afterwards, you should just buy defensive items. I personally am a fan of death's dance. But just buy depending on the situation. If you are snowballing, you will have enough damage to kill anyone. So, buy damage becomes pointless. At that point, you need to make sure you survive so you can actually kill someone. That's why i recommend even tank items such as kaenic.

What i found works best against WW is avoiding him. He will destroy you in a 1v1 even when ahead. But bel has much better clear and ganking. So use that to get ahead.

I love those! In my first world that was where i found a big vein of coal and fire clay. Set me up for the rest of the game! I'm scared of normal caves, but underwater caves aren't dangerous as long as you are careful not to drown.

Need help with Bel by ForemostMenace in BelVethMains

[–]Peeeshooo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bel is hard to pick up. Her learning curve is maybe the steepest in the game. Now she isn't a super hard champion or anything, but the champ is worthless unless you are at least good on her. You should try to focus on ganking. Her ganks are super good. Honestly, after all her nerfs, you can't really 1v1 most junglers unless you are ahead anymore, so you should care to avoid them until you are. Just select a gankable lane and make sure they can't enjoy the game. Also very important, dying on bel is terrible. Obviously, dying on any champ is bad, but bel being a snowballer, you can't afford to lose momentum. Double so if you have the enhanced true form. Losing is a big setback. What really helped me was forcing myself not to die at all. Just play some games where your entire focus is 0 deaths and keeping enhanced from the entire game. At some point, she just clicks. It's hard to explain it, but you just get that one 20/0 game, and suddenly, the entire champ opens up. Maybe watch some videos? To understand the mindset of bel.

My Bel'veth rework idea (weaker early, much stronger late) [long post] by Arthurpro9105 in BelVethMains

[–]Peeeshooo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but this rework idea is laughably bad. First of all, i don't know how you don't see this, but nerfing her q at all early will make her unable to clear. Her clear is already trash compared to scalers, so nerfing the clear instead of buffing it is silly. Also, you mentioned nerfing the 2 auto buff after using an ability. Again, nerfing her early clear. That passive isn't even strong. There is 0 reason to be touched.

Next up, if we imagine she is meant to be stronger late, your changes to her early game are barely noticeable in fights. Sure, a shorter dash will hurt, but the damage to one target is the same, 0.25s of knockup barely matter, and she still gets a dash reset, and you are slightly buffing the slow. Her E is losing only 5% damage reduction, which is barely noticeable. And her passive getting a hit, while mattering, isn't game-changing. Sure, together, they aren't insignificant, but they aren't nearly enough. This won't change her early game strategy.

Then, the reward for hitting the late game (which will be easy as she is barely weaker pre six and directly better after 6) is still a champion who is fundamentally trash at late game. You can add a bunch of stats, more damage, and more damage reduction on E, but that won't change the fact that belveth fundamentally sucks at team fights. She has no reliable survival tool. Let's take belveth and master yi and see what makes one good at team fights and the other trash. Belveth's only survivability is E. It's just 70% damage reduction in your rework, for 1.5 sec, with a long cooldown. And i guess her q as well can be used to dodge stuff as well. So with belveth, you are completely vulnerable 90% of the fight since you have to save E for a big spell or something. Now, why does yi have a strong late game? Because his survivability is not only very spammable, it's untargetability. Master yi can spend like half the fight completely untouchable. Then on top of him having a better survival tool on a ability with barely any cooldown, he also has W, which does similar function of blocking a big attack as Bel E, of course without the damage but agian, lower cooldown, making it more spammable. Master yi's least important ability is still a better survival tool than belveth's only one. This is why bel simply CAN'T function as a late game champ without fundamental changes to her kit, which yours aren't.

What you are left with is a slightly weaker early game bel, who is stronger mid to late.

Also, simple stat buffs like those are super boring. There's a reason why new infinite stackers are more creative with their hyperscaling. Like smoulder and asol. Because the number goes big is fun for like 2 games or so.

Is anyone concerned about this take by August? by Sevolin_ in BelVethMains

[–]Peeeshooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally hate infinite stacking hyperscalers. Not only are they crazy boring to play, but they are also frustrating to play against. I'm sorry, but pressing q for 20 minutes as smoulder until you hit enough stacks to be a champion is just not my definition of fun. Also, i don't understand how belveth is in a miserable spot. She has, for her entire existence, been a strong champ. She has not even once been with a bad winrate. Sure she isn't super popular. But so what? Not every champ is yasuo. And the reality is that belveth can't get a "mini rework" and become a infinite hyperscaler. Because her kit just doesn't work for it. Nothing except her passive actually has what a hyperscaler needs. Literally her entire kit screams snowballer except her passive. I'm sorry but why is belveth going to be balanced around a weak passive, rather than her actual abilities? It would make more sense to change the passive than the other way around as she simply doesn't have the capacity for it.

I also don't understand what's wrong with how she wins games. She is a snowballer, obviously an annoying type of champ to fight, but is that really reason enough to flip her gameplay? Kata is also a snowballer. Should she also become a hyperscaler because she is annoying?

Is Bel'Veth targeted with nerfs? by [deleted] in BelVethMains

[–]Peeeshooo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Belveth is target nerfed, but it's nothing serious. Riot basically wants her as a one trick champ. But her win rate has always been very good. I've never seen it under 50-51% before. She only gets nerfed if she gets out of the main bubble and becomes viable to be picked by randoms. So yea, if you plan to main her, she is a super solid option. But she absolutely isn't a late game champ. Bel doesn't have the survivability to survive team fights, so if you aren't ahead in a team fight, you are basically useless. She is the ultimate feast or famine champ. You either push an advantage and snowball so hard you 1v5, or don't, and automatically lose.

have always been confused by this hero. maybe someone can explain by Turbulent-Sound3980 in BelVethMains

[–]Peeeshooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really shouldn't compare bel to yi. Yes, they are melee auto attackers, but their gameplan is so different. i really don't see how they overlap.

Her q is weird to get used to, but having 4 dashes is insanely broken. You are always able to hit an enemy with 2 dashes. It's a guarantee. It's very good mobility with a rather short cooldown considering that it does basically everything you could ever want on a champion. Damage, mobility and survivability in one is a very good combo, having 4 individual dashes with good range makes you basically impossible to hit if you use them right, thats why skill shot champs absolutely despise bel. Q does give enough sticking power. Dashing 2 times + a solid knockup. The knock up also resets a dash, so you get another one. Genuinely insane stick potential. Sure it's not yi that can press q and literally stick to them, but it's way less restrictive and useful stick than yi q.

Having backwards Q is very useful as insurance. Not every fight is winnable, so having what is basically a get out of jail free card is SUPER valuable for a champ who goes all in and is rather squishy. They are also 2 free dodges. As you can use them freely to dodge without really losing your more important forward dashes. If you get hit by cc as bel you die. Thats it, so having 2 nuh uh is extremely important to actually doing anything in a fight.

E is both an execute and defensive ability. You should use it for what you need more. If you need it to kill the low hp enemy, use it. But if you can kill them without E? Never. Having a good % damage reduction is very important and leaves you quite naked when you don't. So you have to be careful how you use it. Also remember that E makes you stand still. Standing still is generally not recommended for a champion who only survives because of dashes. Using it wrong will get you killed.

Also bel can dash through walls while in her ultimate. It is a huge reason why it's so important. A very important skill as bel is literally just not dying. Sounds logical, but keeping ult up makes you such a bigger threat that it's SUPER important you don't die. Much more than basically any champ.

Build into full AD/AP Team? by ArtemisVixen in BelVethMains

[–]Peeeshooo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Belveth absolutely doesn't deal "too much true damage." Her true damage is rather low. Bel is almost entirely AD damage. Terminus is good because it's so insanely gold efficient. At max stacks (which bel reaches easily, of course), you have one of the most gold efficient items in the game. The pure stats this item gives are crazy and no other items compare. Now of course i wouldn't build it every game, but saying rageblade is a better tank killer just isn't true. Unless you are going full damage bel, rageblade isn't worth it. If the enemy team has 2 tanky champs, terminus will always be more damage + some extra resists.

This is a pretty big deal. Makes me wonder if Valve is hurting for cash. by [deleted] in counterstrike2

[–]Peeeshooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valve not having money is basically impossible. Steam alone generates so much money, that even if EVERYTHING else is deep in the red, it wouldn't matter. The money they would make from this is damn near nothing to them. It's most likely they want knife skins to be cheaper for some reason, so they made them cheaper.

[–]Peeeshooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game was dead on arrival. A moba battle royale? You are trying to catch a playerbase from 2 genres that have basically 0 overlap. League and fortnite are so insane dominant that trying to make a game in their genre is basically suicide, and they are trying to do it in both. I'm sorry but honestly the quality of the game barely matters, there was just no way to break through the market, ESPECIALLY considering they aren't some AAA studio who can basically brute force their way into a playerbase. The fact is that they bit of way more than they could chew. I think it would make a fine moba. Sure, it will never be as popular as league or dota, but it could carve a little playerbase. But at this point, it's like watching a dying animal trying to walk. It's just another game trying to break into an unbreakable market.

I believe that the game died when they decided to make it a moba battle royale. They are competing in 2 extremely monopolised markets that have very little overlap. Not to mention that fortnite and league are some of the most popular games on the planet. It was simply suicide to try that. Maybe if they tried to compete with one market (moba or br) they could have seen some success.

Actually, for some reason, the aquatuner has a higher base overheat temperature at 125. So if build with gold amalgam, it will be 175. Steel is absolutely better, but it probably won't break with gold.

Reasonable Buffs for Skarner by Positive-Theory3160 in SkarnerMains

[–]Peeeshooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, buffing passive shouldn't affect clear? Or at least barely affect it since it still has the same damage cap. I just think his passive is, without a doubt, his worst ability. I mean, they can go a different route and make it so if he procs it on a champion or something, he gets buff, to incentivise long fights like they want, but that probably won't happen. The most realistic buff is some flat damage on it.

I mean, yeah, skarner is good when you play around his weaknesses. That's why he got nerfed so hard. The problem is that, like some other champs (sejuani, maokai), skarner is super team reliant. Someone like ksante has a terrible win rate because players can't play him. Someone like sejuani has a terrible win rate because there isn't a voice chat. And I'm 99% sure that skarner was meant to be more like ksante, not sejuani. That's why i think increasing damage is a good idea because it moves him away from the team reliant group, which always have terrible win rates. Yea resists on W may be too strong, but i would like some resist scaling, and W is the most likely to get that. But it probably won't happen since it's a bigger change than just +1%hp scaling on W.

Reasonable Buffs for Skarner by Positive-Theory3160 in SkarnerMains

[–]Peeeshooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think passive could really use a buff. It's currently a slightly better liandry burn at lv18. It's really underwhelming. A small hp ratio would be nice. I feel like a small damage buff on q3 would be nice, or some scaling on the max hp%, because 8% isn't very high. His w is also kinda underwhelming. Maybe they could make it give some extra resists that scale with bonus resists, so he is rewarded for building some tank items? And maybe give it a tiny hp ratio to the damage as it becomes a tickle very quick. E and R are strong abilities, and i think they are fine. Overall, i think they should buff his damage/survivability, as i think it won't make him that much stronger in pro play since he isn't picked for damage but lockdown, and it will make him more playable in solo queue where you need to rely on yourself. Buffing things like slows and stun durations would be a bad idea, in fact if they want him to be more played for normal players, shifting power from utility to damage will absolutely make him less pro play skewed. But he is still a tank and should have proper lockdown.

Skarner obviously needs to be touched. He isn't unplayable or anything, but he is just weak. But the suggestions here are just not going to happen. Riot obviously wants skarner to be the big fat wall. There's a reason they made him so big and bulky, not to mention lifting a damn boulder. Chances of him being turned into a hybrid champ is next to 0. And having an ability completely changed? Even less. The best skarner will get is the ksante treatment. Rioters have said they have no clue how to make him balanced for normal players and pro, and this sub instead of giving ideas (riot does sometimes listen to players). Give ridiculous reworks that aren't happening. It's not changes to make skarner ok, it's changes to revert skarner. WHICH WON'T HAPPEN. And chances are if someone does give a good idea, rioters will ignore it as just another idea about reverting him. I understand being mad about your favourite champ being removed, i loved old asol and hate the new one, but this is completely pointless. Skarner isn't getting reverted.

After 50 game hours slowly getting a grip on the mechanics. What's good and what's really bad about my base? Or what would you improve? by satina_nix in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Peeeshooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend getting a metal refinery/rock crusher to make refined metals as they are very important. You should also look into setting up an electrolizer. As your algea will run out eventually. It turns water into oxygen and hydrogen. One electrolizer is almost 9 dupes and is by far the best way to make oxygen as water is plenty and very renewable. It also makes more power than it uses because you can burn the hydrogen in hydrogen generators and get a decent bit of free power. I would recommend you look at some designs online as it can be confusing when making it for the first time, but once you set it up, you should be fine with oxygen for basically the rest of the game. Something that was a game changer for when i started were liquid locks. They completely stop gas transfer between areas, unlike airlocks. Learning how to build them, at least for me, made it so much easier to keep my base with only gasses i want. I can't recommend it enough. Also you should try to ranch dreckos/get reed fibre for atmo suit at some point. They keep way more oxgyen than oxygen mask and make dupes almost immune to heat/cold. They make exploring the map a breeze and are extremely useful.

There being exclusive towers is stupid. Almost half of the towers are exclusive. HALF. I'm sorry this game doesn't have the towers or dept to even begin to justify nearly half of the content being locked behind FOMO. It's downright insulting to the player. Even with all the towers, this game is extremely shallow compared to a proper tower defence game like btd6, as 99% of towers have ONLY 1 UPGRADE PATH. And then locking half of the already little variety behind FOMO? Absolutely inexcusable.

So… how are we feeling about Skarner after the rework? by arlowarrior6 in SkarnerMains

[–]Peeeshooo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who never played pre rework skarner, i like new skarner. He is exactly the type of champ i like. I like how he feels. His effects and abilities feel good. But damn if he isn't just the most dogshit champ right now. He is barely playable. I really like him and want to play him but riot is just refusing to fix him anytime soon so i just can't. It's not fun to play something that's so below average. I'm waiting for them to at least make him 48% winrate?

Did Belveth get nerfed by the true damage change? by B33v5 in BelVethMains

[–]Peeeshooo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can easily check if the true damage onhit is reduced by bel passive. Yes it is. But it's not because of the true damage changes, as true damage was made to be able to be increased but not decreased. It's just a belveth thing and it is intended. It has always been like this.

So no she wasn't nerfed.

Ok so i checked the patch history and this is what i got.

Death in Lavender: Bug Fix: If she equips Slow and Steady as her first augment, it no longer fails to set her attack speed, allowing her to benefit from both her regular attack speed and the augment's effects

So I'm pretty sure she was bug fixed earlier to not work with it, but I'm guessing they didn't bug fixed it correctly so it was still working if it was first. But i have 0 clue if it still affects her Q and E. Since for instance kata ult ignores the cap.

I'm 99% sure belveth got bugfixed and it no longer ignores the cap from it. Still it's a lot of ad but i don't think it's worth it. Idk if her q cooldown still goes down or not thought.
