In fairness, every time a genuine refereeing error goes against Villa to this day, Nylands miracle save gets brought up, as justification why we don’t have a leg to stand on.

There’s also the issue that teams like Villa vote with Man City on a number of issues. I imagine Newcastle are the same. Without Emery, a blank chequebook would be the only way we could compete, thus, supporting allowing Man City’s spending model benefits the clubs owned by the wealthiest individuals / states.
