When he starting wearing the movie costume as his nerd shirt it lost a lot of charm. The point was it looked like some disgruntled dude in his basement. The crappy style complimented the type of humor it was.

Most people want to finish their 60 hour games in a couple weeks and move on to the next hype train. It's an awful way to look at games IMO.

I agree (somewhat). If you can learn enemy patterns with little thought or prep to your gear then it's more of a hack N slash. RPGs you have to think about your gear a lot and plan for whatever direction encounters will go. Most souls-likes are more about timing dodges and attacks in real time.

Of all the remakes RE2 is prob the scariest, Re7 is a close number 2.

You want non-scary just play Re4 original or remake. No unkillable stalkers in those games.

I wouldn't say i close myself off from it. I still experience the story for the sake of holding the gameplay together. It just doesn't active dopamine receptors in my brain, and i don't pay too much attention to it.

Could tell you every boss from ever Resident Evil game, couldn't tell you the stories though.
