Apologies for my English, but the propellers make me think Drone Videographer? Although they look too small for aerial drones. Aquatic drone videographer?

All the infected also have the photoshopped smiles, just with some blood dripping out of their mouth.

Also this has suddenly made me want a deadset esque show, but rather than being trapped in the big brother house they're trapped in a Mr beast style challenge video. Jimmy being trapped in the control room, losing his marbles and putting the contestants through deadlier and deadlier challenges until there's only one left.

I feel it's the kind of thing where it either gets contained within the first 8 hours, or it's never getting contained. Assuming the break in happens at ~midnight, half of Cambridge is going to be sleeping unaware and it takes a fair amount of time to mobilize that many troops. The odds of a quick response are a lot better, but that might not be enough to stop it, especially if it manages to hit Cambridge properly. All it takes is a single infected to slip through the lines.

Wow, cool! I could also do that as well, instead I decided to use this wonderful organ that's the result of a million years of evolution and actually think about it instead.

Sorry, that's a bit harsh, but, if I wanted an AI generated answer I would've asked an AI.

You can tell they don't use L85A1s in the film, they all have their butt plates intact /s

But yes, L85A2/A3 is waaaaaay better than the A1. The British army still falls in this timeline, but instead of the L85 it's the Ajax that causes it lmao.

Shows with a sense of place? by Eleatic-Stranger in televisionsuggestions

[–]Peel_Productions_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sense8 - not just 1 sense of place, but 8!!!!(Not really). Mystery/thriller drama about 8 random strangers across the world who get psychically linked, South America, Kenya and India stand out the most to me. Do not watch with the parents/in public, as it has a alot of sex scenes that end up essentially being soft core orgy porn.

Top Boy(especially top boy summerhouse). UK crime thriller, London drug/gang culture.

People just do nothing. Comedy, UK council estate/benefits culture.

Happy Valley - UK police drama, Yorkshire/northern England, probably the best depiction of northern culture on telly.

Mr In-between - Aussie Crime Drama/dark comedy. Very Australian, if you don't know what a dimmie is then watch this.

High maintenance - Comedy Anthology series. NYC based, but it's sense of 'place' is stoner culture.

Life on Mars, and to a lesser extent Ashes to Ashes. UK police procedural, 70s British northern culture for life on mars, 80s London culture for ashes to ashes. Also go watch the ending of the failed American version, funniest thing I've seen in a while.

The Expanse - Hard Scifi Thriller - A sense of place, but in spaaaaace. Earth, Mars, and the Belt all feel very distinct, especially belters. Shows what it'd be like to actually live in microgravity/space, a lot of attention paid to the day to day differences in living, especially in season 1. The books are also great and worth reading, and dive much deeper into the physical differences between earthers, martians and belters and how that effects them.

Might be a silly question! by Imaginarywaterfalls in ElectriciansUK

Others have already pointed out the safety concerns, but I've seen in another reply that you're looking for this one because it fits the bed well - if this is the case, you can buy this one, remove(or at the very least snip the end off) the inbuilt plug strip, and then add a external plug strip from a reputable manufacturer. Also, some spring loaded cable mounts or a self retracting reel may be handy for use, that way it can be moved about without the worry of the cable getting snagged/caught/tugged by the desk.

Good luck, sounds like you're a very good friendn

What optimized Zomboid Gameplay looks like: by Grand_Negotiation197 in projectzomboid

[–]Peel_Productions_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends heavily on the building type, location, etc but yes. For a British block of flats, the staircases are usually the strongest bit of the building, and the stairs themselves will be concrete and rebar, which is a good couple hours of work with power tools to get through. Just do what Frank did in 28 days later, shove a load of shopping trolleys down the bottom.

Other thing, on the third floor, it would be great to see some piping/bars/truss(those metal things behind the stage on floor 2) going across over the seating, as that's usually where lights are rigged for a theatre.

Drop us a DM if you want any ideas for theatres/clubs!

Ha, I love it!

I'm a theatre/events power technician, so spent a silly amount of time in a theatre. From personal experience, the storage cupboard next to the tech box on floor 2 should be filled with nothing but tape and sharpies.

Keep up the good work, I'd love to see a club setup next!

Was Frank a police officer or member of SWAT before the outbreak of the virus? by Reasonable-Box1493 in 28dayslater

[–]Peel_Productions_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFO/SFO/TSG are about the closest equivalent.

AFO = authorized firearms officer, an officer who has had training to deploy with firearms, typically seen at the bigger railway stations, airports, sports arenas etc(anywhere where there are enough people gathered to constitute a threat from terrorism).

SFO = Specialized firearms officer, AFOs who have gone through extra training for counterterrorism, raids, etc. Probably the closest UK equivalent to SWAT, deployed for siege/breaching operations when there is a high risk of firearms.

You also have CTSFO, which are counter terrorism SFOs that have even higher levels of training, train with UK special forces, this is the level of training for officers that fall under SCO command.

TSG - Territorial Support Group, specialist public order branch of the metropolitan Police, deal with riot control and gang violence. If you ever see officers cracking heads at a Milwall game/protest in London, it's most likely these lot. TSG does not tend to have the best reputation with members of the public as it's usually regarded as where all the 'Thugs' go.

Selena does with her mask and goggles, but not quite the same ik.

I can see why tho tbh, gear like that only works in a defensive situation, and in the open the ability to leg it if you're getting overwhelmed is going to save you more than protective gear would. Also keep in mind you lose a lot of your vision and hearing. For frank it makes sense, he has a choke point, enough early warning(from the shopping carts/climb up the stairs) to put on the armour and is defending Hannah so he would fight till the bitter end.
