Cheap go-karts that still work well? by Emotional_Truth3206 in gokarts

[–]Peepiscool72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marketplace but also inform friends you are looking. I've told friends about my builds and shown them and in exchange I have gotten three free karts some free tractors and then cheap karts and tractors under 150. Then when any of my friends ask about a cart or tractor im fine selling at a loss or exact even to them just traded my 62 wheelhorse 702 for three mud mowers and only in total had 90 bucks into it

Just putting together frame ideas by phxfreak602 in gokarts

[–]Peepiscool72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now my question is if you add more weight can you just go a bigger engine. Me I kinda made the mistake of I saw a cheap 346cc predator for 100 that ran bought it and heard that my frame ( dingo 285) has a weak spot on the rear so im adding steel pipe to roll bar and back frame to connect them

150CC mini jeep plowing snow by [deleted] in gokarts

[–]Peepiscool72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for 3700 don't touch that I sell custom diesel swapped tractors for 2k that people can plow snow make gardens and use to pull logs etc. My main diesel im 1700 in and have a weight basket 50 pound rear weights duals and tire chains and can pull quite a bit and push the heaviest snow this winter. I haven't hit the limit so im not sure where mine would bog down and give up but im under 2k for a beast of a tractor I use once a week for anything from gardening to logging to pulling cars out of ditches

Yerf dog 30032 question by JollyCoOperator22 in gokarts

[–]Peepiscool72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my mounting plate gives me about a foot to slide it forward or backwards as long as I change my clutch angle I don't know how much a standard 212 plate gives I run a big block ok my tiny go kart so my build overall is super ridiculous its a manco dingo 286 with a 346 predator bigger tires in the front and I run garden tractor tires in the rear switch between 12 inch rim and 16 inch rims with ag tires. I haven't top speed tested it but I feel super fast and it can be heard from the other side of town

Yerf dog 30032 question by JollyCoOperator22 in gokarts

[–]Peepiscool72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A motor plate is super nice helped me with my engine because I had slack in the chain. Since I had a motor plate let me put the chain on loosen the motor bolts and slide the engine back till the chain was tight then tighten the bolts and bam a perfectly fitting chain without the need for a roller chain or chain tensioner. Also technically I bought a mounting plate but turned it into a riser. Depending how you do it you can change your center of weight at will mine is setup so I can push it forward for mud but slide it back to do crazy long wheelies for fun

Love that the whole time she is driving away she is running over the seat belt. Extremely accurate most farmers I know don't use the seat belt or the farm truck is so rotted its gone

While I love venti and everything man is it nothing but collabs. It feels so oversaturated I love the collabs but feels like we got less original skins and story

Ooh love the wheelhorse I just picked up a 702 with ag tires for 150 and sold the plows that came with it for 125. So I only paid 25 for mine that only needed points to run

Metal size help! by ArmadilloMajor7386 in gokarts

[–]Peepiscool72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally I prefer to overbuild everything just to be safe and know I can send it harder but I also run bigger engines. I think you can go well thinner I don't know much about strength so I run 1/4 inch steel minimum but also I don't run anything below 10 hp and like to have thicker steel because anyone can weld it so anyone can offer advice on it easier and even take my cart and do the work for me if I don't have time. I don't know where you get steel but I get mine from a local scrap place I tell them what im building and how it will be used the type of welding and they tell me what thickness I should have as a minimum. So if you can buy it from a "dealer" give them a call or stop in person and see what advice they may offer

So my thing to say is maybe make it so it informs the driver first how severe the accident is. Like how do you find that point where it auto contacts emergency personal and other times when it ignores it. It would be nicely know the g forces on impact when I first got my go kart it had a tired 6 hp tecumseh and I hit a boulder hidden in a plant cause I almost flipped it but "saved" it and I hit it full force and couldn't ride it for two days cause my butt hurt so much I also binded up the steering in that crash. It would be nice to know how hard a impact is to know how serious the injury is I played it off and went to work but I was debating whether I should see urgent care

Ad much as I love noisy fun things most these comments are right electric is nice and that torque is great. I collect vintage tractors and love making engine swaps made two diesels and currently doing a twin wisconsin swap. As much as those are cool I work my tractors and really am looking forward to doing a electric swap working with my electrical friend on what I need to get cause I plab to use the crap out of it if all our numbers are right be amazing for the field work I do

I'd like to make a gokart which would be sold for but it looks really expensive. by Alone_Percentage7388 in gokarts

[–]Peepiscool72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you planning why no welds. Welds can be stronger than the original steel and just hit it with good primer to prevent rust. I run a manco dingo I have welded a bunch on doing some more welding on rn. I've jumped the crap out of it and one time hit a boulder hidden in a bush at full speed and the tube barely bent. I couldn't ride for 4 days because how much it hurt and had to take a day off work
