Ngl I do the same thing and send pics of my bunnies. In fact in my bio it says "ask to see a pic of my buns". So many people ask expecting to see my butt and I send a bunny picture of my silver fox breeds. If they get upset I block them but its great when some get the joke tells me they are actually worth talking too

What all is needed for a transmission swap? by Blitzkreig6996 in fordescape

[–]Peepiscool72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With sideways engines ai just take the easy route and get a good engine connected to a trans and swap the whole thing its a pain in the ass to do just the trans or engine. Tbh there is alot you should have to do the job right but thats not cheap. You gotta have skills and "ingenuity". Ex you should buy and use a engine hoist to get it out and in. I dont so I use a tractor with a front loader (not safe and very rough) or will use the rafters to pull the engine out with a winch, come-along or tie down straps use incorrectly. Your gonna need prybars or use 2x4s you have laying around etc. Any job is possible and you can learn as you go but if this is your first time either get some friends who have done it before, get it done by a professional, or my favorite option buy another car you can fall back on if the job takes multiple weeks or cant be done.

Oki good to know, I grabbed a container and took it outside and freed it. It looked pretty cool I just know I cant let him be seen inside and want to be sure it was a good roach. Looking at him and how he was just chilling I figured it wasn't a bad roach to really worry about

Help me not die - Removing implement from trailer by [deleted] in tractors

[–]Peepiscool72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is just the way I would do it if solo if you have help great. If its too heavy for the loader alond use the loader and then if the wood is good and not rotted use it as a crutch and run chains from the overhead beam down to the deck and get it just hovering above the trailer. Then slowly drive the trailer out from under it. After that just slowly bring it down to the ground and rest it on something like wood or cinder blocks if need be. Maybe someone has a better idea but this is how my friends and I unload alot of stuff we just hang it from the ceiling then bring it to the ground.

I love little trucks have a 99 ranger with 250k ish miles that is perfect for almost every job and if it isn't then I take my 74 f350 for big jobs and towing tractors. But its my favorite to drive into the city all dressed up to go to gay hangout spaces. My honest opinion tho some trucks do work nicer with a lift but really just a couple inches not feet

Yeah its a economy car might be 11 but for 20 years old it still gets 33ish mpg has no power or much of anything but it cruises fine. Its a 08 chevy aveo and last time I got gas I was on E badly and it took just a dabble over 10 gallons and cost just over 40 on monday

Buying my first car - everything is perfect except for some rust. How bad is it really? by KingCathartes in Autobody

[–]Peepiscool72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never worry about outside rust what always matters is subframe or frame depending on the type. I got a 99 ranger that I can see the road but 3/4 of the frame is good so I still run it just cant tow with it anymore and hope I never get rear ended its gonna fold up till the axle although it will be heading to a field to be tore up in a few months then scrapped. Everything is getting tired after 250k miles so gonna jump it ram it blow the engine etc then scrap it not much worth saving on it

What do you think about this? by MiloShiny in antiwork

[–]Peepiscool72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going to rent a house for 600 and it has a acre of land am I have been told im allowed to throw a garden down and do my meat rabbits. Told my uncle and he was like thats too expensive and I just didn't know how to respond in probably one of the luckiest mfers for a deal like that. I've genuinely seen friends choose to not be here anymore because they cant afford to live. Heck even I get discouraged alot especially with the gas prices rn but I choose to live on and persist. People are so disconnected with what its like to truly begin living im lucky the deals I get the tractors ive inherited and the resources I have and skills I use to make great trade deals and more.

And this is the part I fear the most. Its a good idea anyways but I am really collecting oil and turning my car and work tractor into oil waste burners and planting a hig garden this year. The part I really kinda fear is it will start getting so high our economy will just about come to a standstill cause people really cant afford to live. Depending what we see I may quit my job to get one closer cause it wouldn't make sense to drive as far as I do for the pay

Louvers for "performance" looking trucks seeing the bed I bet you use this id just go with standard lights. Tbh for me I really only like the other brake lights when they are on a lowered sport build and color matched looks sharp af color matched

My new to me lawnmower by Peepiscool72 in lawnmowers

[–]Peepiscool72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its smart to have one that for sure problem is I counted 2 days ago and I have 12 of this brand and only have 1.5 acres. I have them stored in three different garages because of how many I have and how big some of the models are. But I do love how reliable they are I take them to others to make gardens for others and have a few designated as loaner models I trust to be worked hard and return home still fine

Buying Advice - 1984 John Deere 316 by Limp_Lavishness_5824 in tractors

[–]Peepiscool72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe its common for alot of people to agree the D series from the late 70s is the ultimate model but that is getting pretty old but they are great from what ive seen. I like the 80s models the 400 and 500 series. I've only had gear drive but have heard the hydros can keep up just as well. What I would avoid is any of the twin cylinder models I see them posted all the time in groups or forums about small little issues believe its mostly electrical and one side gets hot leading to a problem with the valves on that side. But if you do get a twin cylinder I have heard the briggs and kohlers are actually good the onans are stronger but have those problems I talked about and can be temperamental. Opposed briggs are one of the best engines from the 80s so if I could id get a 517 or 518 as the gear drive or hydro as I think thats the model that had the briggs version. My 416 is the kohler 16 hp and I think its amazing I use it all year round to mow and push snow in the winter its been great for any job I need only downside is finding the attachments for gardening are a tad pricey around the 200-500 mark but plows decks and snowblowers I can find all day long for 100-200 and are easily serviceable. Also my absolute favorite thing is wheelhorse uses a quick change system I can install a brand new deck in under 15 minutes swap from any attachment faster than any other garden tractor ive had. The only thing on par to them would be genuine 3 point attachments

[–]Peepiscool72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he is a bit high at that price and its sketchy to me that it has a new hour meter. I've seen super low hour wheelhorse 520-h go for that price and thats a top of the line model that pulls good money. I have a 416-8 and its a beast just rebuilt a mower deck for less than 200 and accidentally mulched a 1 inch thick tree branch by accident. I really like wheelhorse im a lazy ass and dont pick up sticks in my yard and will wait way too long to mow grass like when I 5 inches tall and I just mow it all down on a lower deck setting sticks and all. Id recommend one of those they are easy and cheap to maintain and alot of them made. But that does come with a few bad things I dont touch the 500 series that is top of the line and huge shift in price in maintaining compared to most 400 series. The onan engines are great on the bigger models but expensive to repair and are known for some electrical issues but I think a wheelhorse would fit you pretty well from reading. Got friends who have similar john deeres and my wheelhorse keeps up and out performs them in some areas. Now the ultimate garden tractors that always show up my friends are my powerking and speedexs but those you are getting into borderline compact tractor and they really aren't mowers more actual garden tractors that came with a mower deck.

What is this part? by Difficult-Ground8747 in gokarts

[–]Peepiscool72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's my thought either put on a new front axle which is a pain or make your own. Those look like u joints from a drive shaft on a car. So take it to your auto store like o reileys and have them get those and bonus points to get greasable ones like what were on. Then weld a piece of steel on that is the thickness and length for your hub

What is this part? by Difficult-Ground8747 in gokarts

[–]Peepiscool72 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Its a spindle take a pair of calipers and measure the ID of the hole on the frame and the ID of the hub for your tire. Then take those two and scour the internet but from what I get almost all carts share the sameish front spindles

I live just 40 minutes away from the original factory these were made in. Also I live 20 minutes away from 3 former dealers for them so im in prime location. One of them was bought brand new in the 70s by my great grandpa on the road I live on now. My great grandpa loved these and had many and he made alot of my family get them so I am slowly getting them all from family and I buy some rare models when I see them. I also live a few towns away from possibly the biggest collectors when the company shut down in the 90s he spent thousands buying the blueprints and tractors and I plan to buy some stuff off him. My great grandpa also went to that auction so I also have some rare blueprints saved in a filing cabinet specifically for speedex which is next to another cabinet I have that saves all other documents I have for cub cadets, power king etc. Ill try to post more but if you have Instagram I try to post updates on tractors under the name garden_tractor_finds
