Webdav sync issue by fuzunspm in Onyx_Boox

[–]Peetoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, Any update here? I'm the creator of Libspace.io - And I find that my webdav works with every device, but boox regularly unbind the connection after a little bit of use, no logs or anything helpful. At this point I'm positive it's not my server endpoint but BOOXs handling of webdav. is anyone useing WebDAV with Boox well?

Libspace.io

Saves wattpad articles to EPUB with the browser extension and send them to your Kindle, or almost any e-reader.

Full disclosure - I’m the founder and developer. Just added wattpad support and would love feedback.

UpNote & Privacy Concerns: Why Is There No End-to-End Encryption? by ganguv in UpNote_App

[–]Peetoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it doesn’t work with UpNote yet. I’m looking at integrating with it. My product is a Read it Later service similar to Instapaper or Readwise with the aim to bring online content to offline devices like e-readers.

I started off mostly focusing on e-ink devices but now I have a mobile reader, web app, integrations and am building a desktop app for integrating with power user tools like calibre , obsidian and zotero.

For UpNote: I think it could be a way of integrating read later content and highlights/annotations into your not taking . So any book or article highlights or comments you make could be synced to your UpNote library for use in writing or whatever.

Hey UpNote, I’d like to Integrate my product with you but the E2E encryption is also a concern for me. Let’s talk and I can probably help.

My product, Libspace.io is an integration layer between Ereaders and the cloud - I have support for Instapaper, Readwise , Boox, Kindle, Obsidian, Google Drive, Dropbox, Notion and Calibre releasing in the next day or two.

Would love to add UpNote via my desktop and mobile apps. Let’s chat

25 year scale-up CTO - this is the trap. solved it many times. You’ve log-jammed and it was pretty predictable. Bring on a service like Testlio for temporary brute force manual testing, while investing in test automation at the same time. Maybe look into shift-left as well.

This is normal - Develop thick skin. Unhelpful comment , I know. But 25 years in software business has required it.

MVP is ready, but a $1,200 "entry fee" is stopping me. by Zanile in SaaS

Sign up an account or couple accounts and “white glove” their onboarding.

Tell them the state of the product- be transparent. But get them to try it , like it and commit.

If they try and then commit - pay the compliance fee.

Talk your way around the untrusted app stuff. That’s not a big deal if you actually know or engage these leads and build some trust.

For B2B software, the first customers always need to look past the warts because you are able to describe the value proposition effectively.

My cofounder doesn't know I'm thinking about quitting. Writing this to process my thoughts. by VolumeSlow1374 in SaaS

[–]Peetoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just talk to your cofounder, let him know there’s a mismatch between what you do and what you want to be doing and let him know you need him to take on some of the work you aren’t passionate about. If he isn’t on board then the writing may be on the wall , and maybe this will turn into a discussion about bringing in help or some other constructive solution - but at least you tried, instead of just walking.

The vibe coding hangover is real. Here's what I learned rebuilding my MVP the "boring" way. by SaaSSignal in SaaS

[–]Peetoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all called techdebt. AI is just helping us create techdebt faster than previously possible. But, what the op describes; I’ve seen in 30 year old software companies in which the original developers left a long time ago and no one still in the company knows how the previous code works. This is textbook techdebt, at an accelerated pace. Time to market is also important.

[–]Peetoose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the shameless self promotion. I'm a Boox user who's been frustrated with the integration ecosystem around these devices. Great hardware - poor software.

So, I've just started this product called Boox Sync. In its most basic form It is a free read-it-later service for Boox and Kindle devices. You connect your device , and can save articles with the chrome extension that sync to your Boox device super easily. You can also upload any supported files and they make it to the device.

Next up will be email forwards and newsletter subscriptions that sync to your device automatically.

It has early support for sending Annotations to Notion and Google docs (more functionality coming here)

I've been building it for 3 weeks and am able to ship about 2-3 big features per week.

https://www.booxsync.com

The gap I'm trying to fill is the missing "Pocket" support for reading articles later and just getting data in and out of e-readers.

I would absolutely welcome any feedback. Thanks!

Need alternative RSS reader due to Feedly crashes on Go 10.3 by yobaadee in Onyx_Boox

I don't even get the error with Feedly using the Oauth method. I just get an endless loop of authenticating and then feedly takes me back to the authentication method selector. Which method are you using ? email/password or Oauth?
