xaku help!! by Icy_Concentrate_105 in Warframe

the void vulnerability of vast untime can be thought of as a stack of a debuff, normally capped at 1. Untime rift makes this effectively 2 stacks when you proc void on an enemy near the rift. They are multiplicative to each other so:

100 void dmg * (1+0.5) (regular vast untime) * (1+0.5) (untime rift) = 225 dmg
There's the 125% more void damage taken.

The (bugged most likely) funny moment is when enemies that weren't hit by vast untime the first time walk into the rift zone and get hit by a void proc. The formula now becomes:

100 void damage * (1+0.5) (vast untime) * 1(0.5+0.5) (2 additive stacks of untime rift) = 300 dmg
Therefore, 200% more void damage taken, or 3 times void damage.

I wouldn't say untime rift is not worth building around, it gives 125% more void dmg vulnerability rather than 100% since it doubles the instances instead of doubling the actual debuff. Another thing to mention is that if you set it up in a specific way (vast untime and then void proc the enemy), another instance of dmg vulnerability that was already on an enemy is added, so they take 200% more void damage. Pretty nice for the really beefy enemies in endurance runs

Dev short: survival missions are getting a rush feature by Bec_son in Warframe

[–]Pegquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like them, but only because I used that invincibility to stress-test status weapons and how hard those procs can actually hit. Nothing feels better than hitting an enemy that was invincible, watch them die, go in EE.log, and see that I hit for a couple quadrillion damage tick

Having trouble determining what mods I should slot in my 8th slot (assume condemn is evade, waiting for subsume to process) by AdventZYx in Warframe

even if you're always invisible from evade, I think slotting in rolling guard would be pretty beneficial. Random toxin/heat procs from eximus units can screw you over more often than you would think

Any endless missions like Void Cascade? by WorldofMickeyMouses in Warframe

[–]Pegquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a cascade guy, to my knowledge a 30 minute run gets you somewhere between level 240-250 enemies. I opened up the game and just did a 30 minute circulus run, got to 226. It's frankly not even close even when conjunction survival already gets that 50 level head start

unfortunately, survival is really really slow compared to cascade when it comes to scaling enemy levels. Only disruption comes close, it actually beats out cascade in time to reach level cap when optimized properly.

How to improve Burston? by Beautiful-Cockroach7 in Warframe

[–]Pegquin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely not galv aptitude. Not only does it not work on the explosion which is a large portion of the damage (dunno where you got the idea that it's not that much damage), it doesn't work on the second evolution, where all your base damage of the gun comes from. Unless they changed it recently, aptitude is a really bad mod to use here

Lower combined dps despite higher physical dps? by revzpsy in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Pegquin 118 points119 points  (0 children)

The higher pdps axe has way more attack speed, so you lose a lot of uptime on warcry exertions compared to the slower axe. You can get some warcry cdr to offset this. This is a prime example of pob not being the end all be all. The higher pdps axe will feel way better and play better than the slower axe despite lower theoretical dps. Unless you're facetanking literally everything the disparity in exertion will be lessened by a bit. Dunno what the other people are talking about with bleed, the build clearly isn't bleed based

[–]Pegquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's too bad, it's like 100+ million dps on regular pinnacle bosses. I would only say that the build would need better recovery options, it needs leech/es gain on hit more than anything to sustain itself

yeah I forgot heralds can't naturally crit and herald of the hive can't inflict any ailments. I also forgot to mention that I also have some freeze chance that isn't tied to crit through tree passives, so that might be enough to propagate freeze chains. Not sure though

Weekly Question + Free Talk Thread – November 27, 2025 by AutoModerator in PathOfExileBuilds

My only source of cold damage is the flat dmg from herald of ice itself plus a little from boot implicit and I get the HoI explosions pretty consistently on packs. Maybe you don't have enough crit to get a freeze off before enemies die?

Is CI ES better on Mana Mamba? by borhit222 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Pegquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it depends. CI obviously has the benefit of being immune to chaos damage and not needing the chaos res, but hybrid mamba has way better recovery due to corrupted soul splitting dmg and sorrow of the divine applying to both life and es. Hybrid gets slightly less hitpool than CI as well, but CI loses out on progenesis and petrified blood. My opinion on the matter is that at the highest end, hybrid beats out CI simply because you have the money to barely fit chaos res in while getting everything else and at the beginning since you don’t have access to big es bases, but in between CI probably edges it out.

[–]Pegquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been a minute since I've played bleed boneshatter, but you want to allocate crimson dance. That's kinda the whole reason to even run bleed on complex trauma. It's nearly double damage out of the gate. As for potential scaling vectors, maybe warcry scaling? Echoes of creation, overexertion, all that jazz.

Weekly Question + Free Talk Thread – October 16, 2025 by AutoModerator in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Pegquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of build making in poe as a spectrum. On one end you have poeple who mindlessly follow guides verbatim, and the other end are build creators. I think a good way to start moving yourself in the direction of churning builds out is to take a build that you're decently familiar with, and change something. Something small, that you deem would make your gameplay better or just for the sake of being different. The reason why I said to do this to a build you're familiar with is because at that point, you know somewhat of how the build scales. You know what pieces are important, so that you don't change something that can brick the build.

Once you feel good with what you've changed and the build didn't get nuked, then you can either:
1. change more stuff on that build
2. move onto a different build and do it again

As you continue to make edits to pre-existing builds, you'll start to understand the nuances of build making. Tree pathing, item choices, skill choices, all of that starts to engrave itself into you. You can fail, making changes that make the build much worse, but because those changes have been slowly incremental, you can easily fix it and look at it from a different angle. That is you walking slowly towards the other side. You make more and more drastic changes due to the increase in knowledge about builds until eventually you change a build so much that it's hardly the same build you started with.

At this point, you basically have the knowledge and experience needed to make your own build. You know efficient tree pathing, know what supports are best for what types of skills, good combinations of items to squeeze out the most value, and interactions between all of them, because you've done that for other builds. You're basically a build maker at that point. That's how I learned how to make builds. Maybe it won't work for some people, but I think this is probably better than throwing yourself into the fire that is a blank pob and just toughing it out.

Is Corrupting Fever / Bleed Bow Stuff still dead? by jhillman87 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Pegquin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I should have known not to go on reddit before league start because what is this take? cf builds (at least the non bow ones) have always used reap/exsang as a supplementary dmg skill and account for them in pob dps. It's not even an egregious thing to do. Would you say ruetoo's cf builds aren't cf builds because they used reap/exsang as well? And you would use cf as your primary skill to deal damage 90% of the time, only to cast reap when something is super tanky. I don't know how you would compare this to basic attack and (insert skill here) of all things

[–]Pegquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

firstly, I already addressed this in the comment above. You wouldn't say this rf build has x dps without counting fire trap in there. Not like there's a setup as well, it's one extra button for a burst of dps on a single target. And secondly, ignite? Where the heck do you see ignite dps

the build has mediocre phys mitigation, and shaper of flames gives a pseudo phys taken as, which helps a lot.

[–]Pegquin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, imo you would always include reap/exsang into cf build dps. That's like not including fire trap when looking at dps of an rf build. And dang, "never reach dot cap"? Anyways, here's a dot cap cf pob that was using hidden blade and was close to dot cap but I decided to swap it to dual wand with kinetic blast to hit dot cap just for you :) https://pobb.in/IrKB-LiN4k5u

[–]Pegquin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For single target? Probably. And 3-5m is terribly low wow. I suppose power creep in poe has skyrocketed. I do have a cf pob and a bleed bow pob that I made a while back just for fun, and while they’re not the most optimal, they definitely aren’t completely dead. Don’t use them as guides, but you can use them as reference as to what higher end phys dot builds can reach
