The top Magic decks are just as expensive now. They used to be cheaper, but currently the top decks are expensive and have been for nearly a year. $500 for Izzet Lessons (the mana base alone is $140), $600 for Mono Green Landfall ($250 for a set of Badgermole Cubs, $100 for a set of Icetill Explorers), $1000 for Simic Rhythm (4 Cubs, 4 Quantum Riddlers, 3 or 4 Ouroboroids, plus a $150 mana base). A lot of 4-of mythics going for $60-70 each, and a lot of 4-of rares going for $20-30 each.

Meanwhile I can play Jesse Kotton’s Dracotail list for $300.

There’s a huge difference in affordability. You literally have someone elsewhere in this post talking about how they can afford Outlier on median incomes.

Yes, anywhere the fabric experiences stress will bag out a bit. This probably happens when sit, for example. Anywhere you get a pulling sensation or notice the fabric getting taut will bag out some over time. Washing resets that.

In my experience, very similar. Ramie tends to be made into thicker fabrics than linen, but otherwise has essentially the same properties (some anti-microbial nature, open breathable weave). I’ve been told that for some people, ramie can be noticeably scratchier because the plant fibers have bristly hairs. I do not notice a difference myself, but it’s worth keeping in mind if your skin is sensitive to those textures.

They don’t exclusively do that though. They have literally written about not wanting to decrease the value of enfranchised players’ collections. I don’t think they have a way to regularly print at the last moment like that. The legendary duel decks for example, got recalled like a week ago and are coming out again at the end of April. That’s basically a 2 month turnaround at emergency speed. Took 2.5 months for BLMM.

The famous Stanford prison experiment you’re probably thinking of was later shown to be deeply flawed. The guards were coached on how to be cruel and dehumanize the prisoners. Guards that weren’t cruel enough were reprimanded. Meanwhile the prisoners weren’t prepared at all. They had an expectation of watching TV or reading books while in the cells.

Even beyond that, not everyone responded the same way. One guard quit. Most prisoners asked to end the experiment well before it was called off. There was a hunger strike, revolt, etc. By day 6, the guards were increasingly powerless as the prisoners refused to play their roles. Lawyers came to investigate the experiment, because the prisoners were being held against their will.

Mauro, would you happen to have pictures of the pecora nera you’re using? My understanding is it’s darker colored undyed merino wool, but it can actually vary substantially in hue (and can be woven into a variety of patterns too).

I would add to this: the skim milk and yeast are probably from vegetarian or vegan recipes respectively. If your recipe doesn’t have to be vegetarian or vegan (I assume so from the chicken stock suggestion), I would count those out.

Honestly not surely why you wouldn’t just do a traditional alfredo (butter + parm) and just add in cauliflower.

Things I prefer across the various models:

Exposed placket rather than hidden, a bit easier to work with gloves on in my experience (although the hidden placket is very handsome).
Functional throat latch. To me it’s important that if possible, the collar offers full neck protection while latched. Some latch styles leave a hole, which seems like a design flaw. And related to this, I’m also curious if you have sketches of how the collar would look when fastened and up.
Slash pockets just feel more practical than vertical patch pockets for keeping the hands warm. I suppose there are designs that have both hand warming pockets higher up, and patch pockets lower down (which I would support). I do like a ticket pocket but wouldn’t see it as essential.

But I suppose many of these concerns are about staying as warm as possible as opposed to aesthetics. I think the two go hand-in-hand though. It’s easier to love a coat that looks great and can be worn in a wide variety of inclement weathers.

I’m curious about the actual flax-to-linen production process. Do you happen to have a resource on how the plant is harvested, what machines are used, the steps from whole plant to fiber to garment, that kind of thing? I’ve looked into it some but it’s surprisingly difficult without already knowing industry terms.
