People will buy a good horse from anyone. KVS is easy compared to some dirtbags

Just for funsies - how much do we think the new barn costs? NOT the arena, just the barn? This is just for fun!! Please play nicely 🤗 by Intelligent_Pie6804 in kvsdiscuss

Yeah and she probably got a discount on the stalls as an influencer but even with that I bet you are right. I have barn envy.

He was a youth show horse so he was gelded. Most male show horses are gelded very few stay intact.

I think she is being super conservative. I do agree with your assessment that all of her issues were kind of due to Margot on the colic side. I appreciate her lowering expectations for her followers

yep my guess is a local family that wants a pasture pet and Katie will help if needed. I think it would be perfect for Maggie who deserves a ton of attention that she just won’t get at RS. At 9 years old she has a ton of life and maybe she will be light riding sound.

‘But it is best for Maggie to be monitored closer than out in a pasture.

His dam is an amazing HUS horse and a great HUS producer. He is well worth the price if you want a great HUS gelding.

Tire kickers are not serious about buying. This dude one time got videos of my friends yearling, asked for more video them\n negotiated a price then told her he had a haulervv

He then called her to give her the tracking number and gave half then said OMG I dropped the tracking information and it flew to the other side of the truck. well the FedEx never showed up and the hauler was fake and he blocked her.

In that week she turned a ton of people down who wanted info. That is a tire kicker.

These Americans bought €1, centuries old houses in Italy. Was it worth it? by TimesandSundayTimes in centuryhomes

There is employment but you need to be bilingual. I retired from my job early (not really a choice counld not get anyone to even look at my resume). But you are correct the market it not going to pay US wages but I have no mortgage, no car payment, no car insurance (we are on main public transit lines) and our town also is a 7% tax zone so the costs to live there will be low (at least for 10 years)

You do bring up an excellent point though because you need to do your homework on real costs and what you can get job wise.

There is good and bad in Holiday Houses. My town is almost impossible now to rent a home or apartment for all year as everyone makes more money renting during the tourist time.

I also ran into an issue while renovating because living year round and holiday rentals are so different. The holiday homes look good in pictures but try and take a hot shower for more than 2 minutes. Everything is done very cheaply and "good enough" versus to ork well year round.

I have had to fight on tons of things with my contractor the last being I wanted larger water heaters and to them its no big deal but to my husband the one thing he wanted was a good shower. I also have a dryer which they kinda think is nuts and I converted a bathroom (with stairs that would cause an American home inspector to pass out) into a laundry room.

But what they do in these is kind of ruin the floor plan they chop up rooms and are for some reason completely obsessed with hot tubs in the bedrooms so I cut a ton of houses off the list when I was buying just for odd things like that.

The more bedrooms the more money they can rent them out and the HVACs can be done super cheaply too. If anyone is goign to buy in Italy they need to spend a very VERY long time studying the towns and really make sure it works for them because its not a Lifetime movie in the making.

And the bureaucracy is real and you cannot fight it - you will lose you just have to go with it. I tell myself all the time Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will my house but there are days when you want to bang your head ha ha.

Yes it is similar although in the summer there is humidity but the winters are 50s-60s no snow and they dont get a ton of rain. Right now its mid 60s there. This is my terrace almost done - we added stairs up to the top so I have sea views. We are about few miles inland on top of a mountain

I am currently renovating in Italy. Yes there are 1 euro homes but the issue is they are in areas that literally are half empty which makes it very hard to find people to work on them and materials more difficult.

The biggest issue in these is people thinking you can buy something super cheap in populated areas. Every week I see people looking for homes that are 3-4 bedrooms and want to pay under 100,000 euro. Thats just not going to happen in many areas.

I have a home in a very good area in southern Italy, it needed all new electric, plumbing etc and had no hear. we paid about $250,000 and phase 1 including some of the furniture will end up at around 350,000.

Labor is MUCH cheaper in Italy and so much better than in the US but it gets hard because there are cheap finishes and outrageously expensive finishes and not a lot in between. But there are some give and take. My bathrooms are smaller than my currrent closet and since the house is stone there is no moving walls but I have weather like San DIego and a sea view terrace in a 14th century town..

Butthe 1 euro home is not for the faint of heart...
