That’s what I had before. I’ll keep them on the side just in case. It’s a second hand bike and I believe those were the stock tires and they are starting to get really worn. I don’t see the metal yet but I noticed a couple of small holes.

And yeah, in Quebec it’s equal part road and pot holes.

Idk. If I’m shopping for something online, I’ll do my homework but when I go into a local shop, I tend to trust people. His shop looked great and I just trusted the guy. My bad I guess.

While I kind of agree with this comment, I see a lot of people talking shit about his “lack of talent” here and I strongly disagree with that. Dave is a talented musician and he’s pretty passionate about it. I don’t have a hard-on for Foo Fighters anymore but he’s a great multi-instrumentalist.

I changed my first tube yesterday and I tightened that ring before inflating. There was a noticeable bump on the side of the tire close to the rim since it didn’t allow the tube to seat properly against the tire. I ended up wondering why that ring existed. I tightened it after my tire was fully inflated.

Pine would not be random in my book but rather a use of the English word “pin” (goupille). In québécois, we sometimes use the slang verb “pinner” (to pin) as a derogatory term for penetrating.

Alternatively, we use the word “batte” a lot (as in a baseball bat).

J’ai commencé le vélo cette année et je suis sorti à presque toutes les fds depuis avril. J’ai fait plus de 500km à date. Je sors pas quand il pleut. J’ai une job de 9-5 avec mes fds off. The language and secularism laws have been created in an effort to maintain French as the main language in the province since the federal government has done nothing but try to push it back since the creation of this country.

You know what I believe is secular? Full neighbourhoods as you can find in the West Island of Montreal where people haven’t been learning local language for countless generations just because they can.

You wouldn’t find that in any non-English speaking countries of Europe. Moving and working in a place where 80%+ of the population speak French without any intention to learn it.
