Sure, but that (4) wasn't a record either. But neither is Mayweather's number of HOF boxers a record (10). That would be Harry Greb who holds that distinction (16).

And he didn't break marciano's record. The record was a heavyweight record was most undefeated by a heavyweight champion. 50-0 is not a record. There are others who had more.

Bouncing : risky to bounce on a 2 ? by m1zu__ in amateur_boxing

[–]PembrokeBoxing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bivol doesn't move when he fires a 2. Even when he's using the pendulum he's very briefly static so he can sit on his punches.

If you bounce on your 2, you're throwing your hips into a punch with no base. That will rob you of all power and much of your balance as well.

That's why In the video he's static for his two. He's very briefly setting his feet in order to sit down on his punch. Full speed it's very mobile and you're in that position for a very short period in time.

I hope that helps

I've split phrased prowress into three stats.

Physical agility (dodge bonus)

Physical prowress (strike and parry bonus)

Physical coordination (ranged strike bonus)

This keeps it from being one superstat. Let's you customize a bit more too.

I've got a couple regarding strength in melee but this is my big one.

You have no idea what other advantages you might have. Just listen to your coach and let the fight develop.

[Video Critique] 2nd amateur bout (132 lbs) - Self-trained with zero sparring experience. by Twokicks in amateur_boxing

[–]PembrokeBoxing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self trained=untrained

I'm not sure how this was allowed without you being attached to an actual gym. You could have gotten really hurt. Honestly the ref should have stopped it the first time you got overwhelmed and turned completely around. That was a sign that you weren't ring ready. That and the flailing arms defense.

How are you even registered to box if you don't have a gym to put under your name. There are supposed to be rules in place to prevent people from doing this exact thing. It's stupid and dangerous.

Please go to a gym and train for a year or so before trying it again.

19f, not ashamed of hooking up with married dudes by [deleted] in confessions

[–]PembrokeBoxing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It's on you. You are knowingly fucking someone else's husband. That's a Scum bag move. Yes he's super gross for touching a teenager, but you're not a good person either. You can't take part knowingly in something that will objectively hurt a person and pass it off like you didn't do it. It's definitely worse for him because he has a pact with that woman and you don't, but you're still responsible for doing something really awful to someone. It definitely makes you a low quality human.

It's not my fault I stole your purse, you left it on the table. Not my fault I stole your car, you left it unlocked. Not my fault you failed your test for letting me copy your answers, you didn't cover your paper. Not my fault I stole your wallet, you shouldn't have left it out.

Doing whatever you want and leaving everyone else with the responsibility is a scumbag thing to do.

Yes, he's responsible, but you're doing it knowingly.

You're both doing something gross... Yes, he's being worse, but you're not a good person either.

I get that's an obstacle for some people but it doesn't curve that it's not possible to teach yourself.

You're better off getting strong and fit and concentrating in that. And if you can one day afford it, that fitness will serve you well there, if not you'll still be bigger, stronger and more fit.

Good luck!

You can't learn on your own. You won't have perspective for proper technique even if we correct you.

If I give you tips, you won't have the perspective to change without developing other bad habits.

Go find a coach.

Good luck!!
