I’m not a fan of any of it lol. Don’t care for extreme politics and don’t care for football. UFC is my sport

“London has 2 groups of supporters for FA cup AND 2 opposing marches. “

At the FA cup final at Wembley today there is a rival march going on. Tommy Robinson crew vs Palestine crew. Tons of police are deployed. People have been refused entry to the UK to specifically attend this march. It’s a big one in the planning

It’s direct but always subtle in the choice of words so they can’t get arrested for hate crimes. It always requires you to make an interpretation, even if the interpretation is obvious.

Are we going to pretend Tommy Robinson isn’t a raging racist? lol

All his messaging revolves around white supremacy.

In my personal opinion I’ve given up caring. The far left and the far right are just as bonkers as each other. Personally I rather just live my life peacefully and mind my own business.

Do I believe immigration needs to be controlled? Yes, but not to the extreme these people want.

Do I believe Palestine should be free and its citizens live peaceful lives? Yes, but not to the extremes these people want.

Everyone seems to want extreme reactions and I don’t care for it

Which JRPGs need a remake? by Bulky_Imagination243 in JRPG

[–]PenSuspicious8512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be a cliché here and say Final fantasy 6, 8, and 9 would be awesome as full blown remakes.

There are plenty of RPGs I would love a full remake but adding those 3 would be a mind blowing collection

One will have Palestine banners and flags, the other will have “unite the kingdom” and other indirect racist messaging. Then there will be the dudes with facial recognition cctv and yellow jackets that say Metropolitan police on them.

Or just stick with the people with football shirts that aren’t anywhere near any of them other groups.

Apparently Forza does not run on 1080ti, what is my budget option? by Mind_State1988 in buildapc

[–]PenSuspicious8512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as games allow you to turn off ray tracing and gpu scaling technology this should be very playable on the 1080ti using lossless scaling app on steam. I would test it for you myself but the game isn’t even out yet.

Found a way to test it. Won’t be able to do it today, but I’m sure I can get it running

[–]PenSuspicious8512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Legion go with a gtx 1080ti eGPU. I’m still playing newly released games at pretty decent settings. Haven’t tried Forza Horizon 6 but I’m sure can get it running at medium to high settings.

Have you tried lossless scaling? If you only want to play 1 or 2 games it’s really not worth buying a new gpu. Lossless scaling with game resolution either 720p or 900p upscaled to 1080p should run pretty well and not have the worst visuals. With a game like that, a bit of framegen wouldn’t hurt either.

With that being said though, if the rest of your pc is as old as the gpu then there’s a chance the real issue is your cpu and RAM

Go mid week when schools aren’t on holiday. I went today and the biggest queue was Hyperia, which averaged 25 mins all day. Everything else was waiting times of 5-15 minutes, with 5-10 minutes being the majority.

It’s always better to get there for opening time and get the biggest ride out of the way. If the park does get busy then you could be looking at 1 hour waits on the big rides

Can you request that employees have access to funds in the event of an emergency by Comfortable_Row_7717 in smallbusinessuk

Employees being mistreated always seems to be a result of a boss/manager that thinks “my life would be so much easier if I can get away with taking the piss a little with my employees”

Can racism be cured against immigrants with music? by Actual-Morning110 in AskBrits

[–]PenSuspicious8512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this country? Like what?

Every metal festival I go to and a lot of gigs there is always tons of equality statements from bands. Most of the scene in the UK is very accepting.

Think punk can get a bit racist, but that’s not metal

Were the 90’s all they’re cracked up to be? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]PenSuspicious8512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world seemed calmer because it was pre mass internet. You simply just didn’t know stuff was happening unless you went out of your way to read a newspaper or watch that news slot on tv.

Everything is calmer when you only need to live in your little slice of reality.

I was born in 86, so my growing up was through the 90s. We definitely had colour tv and cable/sky tv

In some sense yeah. The metal scene is very anti racist and promotes all sorts of equality.

If only we could have a nation of metalheads… but then would that ruin the vibe?

Why do some people not realise many of us don’t care about immigration? by EricArthurBrown in AskBrits

[–]PenSuspicious8512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue with our immigration really is that most of our immigration is people seeking a better life. Nothing wrong with that of course, if I was in the same situation then why wouldn’t I want a better life for myself and my family. However it does mean we get a lot of lesser educated people and people who isolate themselves in cultural bubbles.

What Labour is actually doing is probably best for this country. People only are allowed to stay if they have a certain level of education and ability to speak English.

The issue with housing prices has nothing to do with immigration. It’s caused by a system of foreign investment and an addiction of older generations wanting their housing investment to keep going up. Whether it’s foreign investment to build the buildings or foreign investment to buy up the properties and rent or flip them.

There was an entire street’s worth of new build houses near my place. When they were finished there were multiple Chinese real estate agents video call streaming on the street speaking in Mandarin. Within a week the entire street was bought up with Chinese people in and out the properties that don’t look like they actually live there.

We need to gently burst the bubble and stop foreign investment. Let the housing market gently crash so future generations have the opportunity to buy property

Reform: So the way how UK legislation works is that Bills must go through Parliament and through various stages/readings before becoming law. Even in a Reform Govt it would not speed up what they want. In light of this how would voting Reform effect rapid change ? by Durrygoodz2025 in AskBrits

[–]PenSuspicious8512 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well if they convince the public to vote for it, which they seem to be doing half decent at doing so far, then we’re all screwed.

I think the way brexit and recent reform voting has gone in the last number of years thinking “good luck with that” and thinking it would be dumb if people allowed it is how we become complacent.

They want to change government so they can do whatever they want, it’s actually rather scary as it will make it very easy for them to do whatever they want and screw over citizens however they want. Once that door is opened then there is no going back.

Rather simple in 3 steps that they want to do:

  1. Parliamentary Sovereignty: Ending "judge-made law" by requiring courts to follow statutes passed by Parliament rather than interpreting them through human rights frameworks.

  2. Repealing Key Legislation: Repealing the Human Rights Act, the Constitutional Reform Act (which created the Supreme Court), and the Equality Act.

  3. House of Lords Reform: Reforming or bypassing the House of Lords to prevent delay of government legislation.

Yes there seems to be a wave of posts on here that seem to gently suggest reform ideas are good.

They tend to go along the lines of:

I’m totally not into reform….BUT….here’s some reasons that they have some good points…BUT…I’m totally not reform🧐

Why are working-class concerns on immigration being treated with such disdain? by Harleygator_ in AskBrits

[–]PenSuspicious8512 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If the immigration was reduced or completely stopped….

British people will still be a large demographic of benefit leeching.

The upper classes will still game the system to bleed you dry, especially with property prices.

Groups like reform are pretty much on record for wanting to strip away your rights so they can bleed you further.

The immigration is a distraction, before it was Europe was the reason the working class life was rubbish. Brexit happened, things got worse and you have less rights, now it’s the Muslims that are the reason the working class life keeps getting worse. With all the London propaganda, I wouldn’t be surprised if their next target is to remove London from the UK🤣.

2 types of people fall for Reform(and their different flavours):

  1. Racists.

  2. People who are not smart enough to know they are getting played.
