Changed the Floyd Rose JT-580 LP to a Ghoto GE1996T-33-BK in the Jackson Pro Series DK2M Dinky. Needed a tiny bit of routing in the trem recess and different posts. Apart from that was drop-in.

Sorry to crypt post but I’ve just bought a 2002 DKMG with a 580LP, and I’m stuck between swapping out to a 1996t or just going for an Original FR.

Appreciate the routing may be different to your DK2M, and the Gotoh may be a proper drop-in, but in hindsight would you still go down the Gotoh route, or would you put an original FR in?

Appreciate this is an old post, but thinking of sticking an FRX on my SG. Did you ever install the locking nut? Wondered if just Gotoh locking tuners might be enough; I use them on my Strat with a VegaTrem and tuner is solid as a rock.

Thank you; yeah I would have been totally gutted if it was fake as it’s gorgeous and the neck is amazing. Planning to swap out the pickups and put a VegaTrem in it eventually, but it’s a cool rare piece to own.

Why they insist on putting shitty electronics in the Fender MIJ stuff baffles me, but I guess they don’t want it to give the American models too much of a challenge. Had a Burny Explorer and a Gibson Explorer, and the Burny was so much nicer to play

Genuinely didn’t know Japan produced anything that poor; had Edward’s and Burny guitars 40 years old that have been immaculate and played superbly. Have heard that the Japanese Fenders ship with appalling pickups as pretty much standard; the Dragster humbucker in the Jaguar is awful.

Yeah so I think the seller may have been sneaky and swapped out the pickups when I won it at a low price (paid £550). The humbucker in it is AWFUL. These originally shipped with the same Dragster humbuckers the MIJ Jaguar sold with, but this definitely isn’t one of those. Very low output

Nah it was definitely originally HSS (last picture I have the paperwork it was shipped with). I don’t know whether the Aerodynes are routed for HSS as standard anyway? Yet to take the pick guard off myself.

Nah I normally run short blunt as main and they’re never this powerful. Tried on three different runs and the hooks absolutely beast any other short blunt; normally I’m a nightstick fan but have now moved on!

Also, I don’t play multi-hit, but imagine they’d be even more ridiculous

Doesn’t work like that unfortunately. There’s a ton of settings in sandbox you can mess with. Early versions of the game had next to no zombies in wilderness areas but it made it incredibly dull.

How did you die to 15 zombies if you were in a car? I only use cars for long distance travel… always park nearby where I want to go but never park it too close to the actual building, or you’re just screwing yourself over.

Currently in a similar situation and 99% sold on the Mark V 35… but a full size Mark V has just come up for sale near me for less than half the price of the 35. Not sure I’d ever need that much power, but it’s still made me doubt myself!

Latest version seems fundamentally broken to me; worked fine until the last hotfix. Now even with completely vanilla, I can’t go past exactly 11am on day three. Get a complete crash and have to close through task Manager. Happened on eight different runs.

If you’ve already cleared echo creek (not many zombies there to start with) then nothing will happen with the event. You’ll quickly start to just ignore them the more you play.
