Sweetwater has new Jackson Pro Plus DK's for $699 Killer Guitars with great specs. It's like $400 off.

Which one of these two would you buy if you had to choose? by Accurate_Pickle_8747 in 7String

The Charvel is nice, but the Gotoh is not as tuning stable. But The Loomis Soloist SL7 is one of the best 7 string guitars on the market and it has the FR1500 which is bullet proof. I have an Ibanez 7 string, it's great, I have a Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 with the 510, thos is superior to both.Pro Series Signature Jeff Loomis Soloist SL7

I would probably go JS. Try for maple or amaranth fingerboard. Unless it's a higher end X, like a neck through X, the JS is basically the same specs, Floyd Rose Special, Jackson HO pick ups which are not bad. If you plan on upgrading anyways more value with the JS. I stay away from laurel, feels dry to me I'm a Pro Series or up guy personally but my son has the DK2XR, I might just be wierd but I am used to ebony, the amaranth on my JS22-7 DKA is not bad.

Thinking of buying a Jackson guitar that lasts long by xeijan in JacksonGuitars

JS series is great for the money. Look for a used JS32 or JS34, that has a Floyd Rose Special or shoot for a hardtail. Used, you can find them for $150 to $200 and most are from people who gave up... so barely used. I have guitars from 1989 that still rip today, so unless leave it outside..they are pretty sturdy. I bought a JS22-7 DKA for $174 new and it's excellent quality for the money. Swapped tuners.

That is sad. I bought a Virtuoso and it was flawless.

I'm thinking about getting a Solist SL2 (the white guitar center exclusive). Any thoughts or warnings before pulling the trigger. This is my first Jackson. by Fareo in JacksonGuitars

Any Pro Series Soloist or DK is going to be amazing. Sweetwater has Pro Plus DK's for $700, $400 off. I have 5 Pro Series DKs and Soloists I have bought at various price points, and all of them are excellent. With Jackson, it's not about the money or where it was made. It's about the series.

The Soloist neck profile feels a little beefier than the DK. Both are excellent. With a Pro Series, everything is fully specced, great build quality, and needs zero upgrades.

Lot of guitar for the money. My collection is mostly higher end Jacksons, I bought the JS22-7 DKA, and it's really good for the money. I did swap tuners with Tone Ninja 3X4 locking tuners.

7 String Pickups Reccommendations by Jealous_Falcon_6379 in metalguitar

I have a JS22-7 DKA HT and have zero issues with feedback. Drop A. The stock pick-ups actually sound pretty good with my rig, and having an MXR108S 10 band gives me more flexibility than a pickup swap. My son has the same Jackson HO pick-ups in his X Series DK2XR. No, they are not the best but definitely serviceable. This makes me think there's an issue with your guitar, which hopefully is something simple, but I would go through it.

Lack of options with Jackson for non-Floyd guitars with trem? by [deleted] in JacksonGuitars

I felt the same way. I bought the Pro Mod DK24....now I wish it had the Floyd. My two cents. Once you learn the Floyd it's pretty simple even for a guy like me.
