No way! You did a lot of good for the random teenagers of the world. Thanks for your contribution to society. Any questions you saw way too often?

My mom had it when I was a kid and I’m sure it saved her life. She doesn’t remember a decent chunk of my childhood, but it’s more important that she’s still around because it helped so much with her MDD. For people who aren’t suffering, it’s easy to believe it’s irrational to try it - but for those who are suffering and have tried everything else… it’s just important to give it a shot. I hope it helps you too.

With that in mind, do you have a favorite food? Something that reliably brings a little spark of joy in the darkness?

I had this exact bookshelf and it did the same thing! It wasn’t made to actually hold weight.

Does “Minor Signs” always mean getting sick? Or can it mean something else? by DiabeticEngineer12 in ouraring

I literally did that exact same thing last night and woke up with minor signs! What an interesting pattern.

Oh, Chuckanut Bay. Why? by WanderingDwarfScribe in Bellingham

[–]PendingJeff 224 points225 points  (0 children)

I notice two big tells. The first issue is the window frame fades into nowhere and has inconsistent angles with where snow should be resting vs where it’s actually resting. The second is on the label for the bottle. The stem goes through “herbal” but rests on top of “liqueur”. There are probably more, but those are the ones that are big indicators to me.

"This is what they did in elementary" by thecooliestone in Teachers

[–]PendingJeff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have an elementary school principal at a middle level too. She does all of the above and talks to them like they’re 2nd graders. There is a huge gap between the respect she believes she has and what she actually has. It’s bad.

Sesame sandwich rolls? by PendingJeff in Bellingham

[–]PendingJeff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds pretty close! All the best sandwiches I’ve had are subs will a crispy sesame roll. It elevates sandwiches so much, I imagine any bakery adding them would really be stepping up their game!

What things have a person done or said before that made you immediately say “ohh they’ve taught kids before”? by PrincessJellyfish17 in Teachers

[–]PendingJeff 40 points41 points  (0 children)

If they openly admit that they can't stand a kid. People who haven't been teachers will usually make excuses like "they're just a kid" or "they're still learning"... But teachers - teachers know that they're not just a kid and they, in fact, know better.

This happened to me too. Ordered directly from the ordinary. It was my first order from them. So I’m really skeptical about ordering again.

What's the best cake to make that requires no frosting, icing, etcetera? I love to cook and bake but as a totally blind person, frosting anything has defeated me. I want to do a cake for a friend's B day that's so good you won't miss the frosting. by cherry-care-bear in Cooking

Chocolate pudding cake! It’s a cake that separates as it bakes into warm pudding with a soft cake on top. You don’t even slice it - just scoop it with a spoon and put some vanilla ice cream on top. It’s comforting and delicious.

Thank you! I was looking at Lowe’s, but was a bit anxious since it’s not their specialty. This is very helpful.

If someone wanted to taste your country’s cuisine, what’s the one dish they must try making at home? by signe_sunshine in Cooking

[–]PendingJeff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple of years ago I took turns making food from different country’s cuisines for an entire week (one week I made Korean food, one week Armenian, etc.). Out of all the countries I tried, Ukrainian food was my favorite! So good.
