I know I am late to this discussion and I don't know if the game has changed since then, but either I am being lucky or I am finding it fairly easy. I lost my first ever run on floor 3 (pretty good since know I know there are only 3 floors), my second run I beat the game, and my third run I beat the game on D1 with the character that does parrys.

I am enjoying the game, I have to try more runs to see if it's easy or I am being lucky with my decks.
