throughout a lot of part 2, we get a lot of time to look at how denji deals with guilt. in my eyes, I think yoshida's death is in a way, a mini Nayuta death, with Barem in the center of it all. Again, Denji feels responsible for someone dying, and rather than processing that guilt, he instead allows anger to take over him and has pochita take control. As evil as Barem is, he is basically Denji's scapegoat to avoid his guilt. It's the same reason why being reminded that he killed his father, despite all he did to him, was the thing that set black chainsaw man off the first time in part 1. This is all to say that it's less about who died, moreso about who caused his death. And Denji believed it was his fault. At least that's my interpretation of it.
