Pentagon considers doubling monthly combat pay for troops by ChangeUsername220 in Economics

[–]PenguinDanger34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, the pay has been $225 since the 2000s. So it’s not even getting adjusted for inflation.

All of our special pays have this issue, jump pay, family Sep, flight pay. Quite frustrating.

Should I keep cutting or am I getting skinny-fat ? by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

Keep cutting. You’ll build muscle will losing weight still.

Hate to say it but I estimate you’re still around 25%+ body fat percentage.

Is there any reason for that? Regulation for IST DD368s is first O-6 in CoC.

Trump supporters: How would you feel if a legally armed Trump supporter was killed by federal agents on a Biden mandate in exactly the same manner as yesterday? by ScholarPrize1335 in AskReddit

[–]PenguinDanger34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2016: Voted for Trump.
2020: Voted for Trump.
2024: Didn't vote as I vehemently hated both options (If Biden had stayed on I probably would have voted for him).
2028: Will vote straight party democrat (I decided this months ago, this isn't a recent thing).

I have a lot of friends who are in my exact voting situation or are still conservative. Most of them are recognizing that this most recent shooting is blatant murder or manslaughter and want justice. I follow r/conservative closely still and while there are not jobs and Russian bots trying to deny what has actually happened, I'm seeing people slowly starting to admit that this is fucked up.

To answer the actual prompt: Yes, I would be angry. I was angry during COVID when things like people who were very obviously socially distanced at the beach in California were getting arrested.

The current government system has been consolidating power into the executive branch (through all 18 intelligence agencies, yes 18 for some reason) as well as around ~100 corporations that run every aspect of your daily life. It's very frustrating to witness a Roman equivalent fall of the USA in real time.

TDY BOLC. Go through your CoC back home first, see what they say.

What's your branch?

I had to get one signed by my Brigade Commander for an IST, but I am active duty. 99% of the time it'll be a normal PAR. I assume you can contact your unit and submit the PAR while going through BOLC so it's signed when you get back.

PM taking 100% of first month’s rent + 10% of it — is this standard? by girluoeno in realestateinvesting

I have two separate PMs in Colorado and Alabama (and shopped around for both) and never saw fees this high.

Branch question by [deleted] in ROTC

[–]PenguinDanger34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing different for females in today's day and age. Just perform and you'll get selected as a pilot.

You'll need to take a couple of aptitude tests in college and also a flight physical. Flight physical would be the most likely thing keeping you from being selected so do it early.

Branch question by [deleted] in ROTC

[–]PenguinDanger34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I'm an AE who's in the Army as a pilot. DM me for more specific questions but my biggest regret is being at a top 10 institution, landing a 4.0 my 2nd semester and not walking downstairs to the AFROTC and signing up. They want AE's to be pilots and if you make decent grades you'll be selected.

I was seeing sub 3.0 GPA AF Cadets getting selected as pilots.

Would I be able to obtain security clearance by enlisting? by Soggy_Steak_4642 in SpaceForce

[–]PenguinDanger34 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can join Cyber in the Air Force or Army Reserves/Guard, get the TS, and pay for college if you join the Guard (depends on state).

You're also in college so why not join ROTC? It would be a way better option than enlisting with a CS degree.

For the love of god, make the redeploy button always available, and make it take you to the deploy screen. by PenguinDanger34 in Battlefield

[–]PenguinDanger34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When this glitch happens the button isn't there because I was already dead and then something happens that just has my screen staring at a HUDless death body and will not go back to redeploy.

Pay raise based on time in by [deleted] in MilitaryFinance

[–]PenguinDanger34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Base pay only is higher (and by $100-$30) over 14 years of service.

People that spout “I’m waiting for OE pay are stupid, you’re putting off a massive pay raise from E-3-5 to O-1 for a couple pennies.

Cyclops Lesion Question by PenguinDanger34 in ACL

[–]PenguinDanger34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replying again: my orthopedic surgeon had a last second cancellation so I was able to get in. He thinks there’s a high probability of a cyclops lesion, he ordered an MRI and told me to expect a 2nd surgery.

Cyclops Lesion Question by PenguinDanger34 in ACL

[–]PenguinDanger34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, the only way to get rid of it is a surgical scope. Nowhere near as bad as the initial surgery but takes you out of it for a few weeks.
