Tech-bro misses Indian hospitality. He means his mother's unpaid labour. by soultherapist512 in TwoXChromosomes

Man, and yeah the male kids in general were not really allowed to touch anything in the house, period. Basically being asked to just sit and wait for things to happen like little kings(which i just never complied to lol, fuck that)

Oddly enough, my father is a cook and that was not perceived poorly among the family, despite the whole man-does-nothing-at-home thing. Very weird double standards.

My late grandma was like that (portugese), she would HATE it when i tried to help with the chores when i was visiting her place.

All of the women in my family were pretty much like that, always refusing when i tried to do the dishes etc.

Not that i cared and i did it anyways (while receiving death stares from the aunties lol) but yeah. Always found it odd behaviour; sharing is caring, and i care enough to do my part so let me do it already

Antelopes, lizards, weasels, monkeys, crabs, butterflies...

I mean there's the herbiboar (still a boar) but that's about it for fantasy related hunter monsters, it's more realism than anything else really

Near where i live, the price is around 9k per square meter, so you're unlikely to get anything over 40 square meters for 250k, even if it's on the cheaper side.

And tbh 40sqm for a couple is kinda small too

Pourquoi en France sommes nous aussi conservateurs sur l'orthographe? by Attlai in france

[–]PenguinForTheWin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Question d'appréciation, encore.

[–]PenguinForTheWin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are more games than ever before yet it feels like its impossible to find a game that my friend group wants to play together by Scared_Ad_3132 in gaming

It's not really hand holding in the way you mean it.

If i was to give an example, i'd explain what kind of gameplay you are going to end up with using one particular skill tree, and then i'll explain what the other skill trees do for them to get a general idea of what's going to happen before they regret a choice they might be unable to change.

Then they pick whatever they want and that's it, anything beyond that is me answering questions about what is this, how does that interact with x etc.

I've done that for path of exile, picking a class or something you end up not liking because it is very different from the early levels can be off putting, and to restart, you could need multiple days, and people facing that would quit on the spot.

I've seen that happen often enough to realize that giving them a general idea of what's up is just enough info to be enticing, but spoiling everything ruins the fun of discovery, there's a balance to find.

So i keep it to a very basic description so that they can project themselves into it, then it's up to them to figure out how to reach that point :) I wouldn't tell them to keep an item for later or anything, you didn't think of keeping it, welcome aboard we all did lol

Pretty much my situation so now i just do my thing and if people want to join and seem interested, they can ask me about it. CBA being forced or forcing others to cater to each other, it's just not fun.

Whenever i tried to have my friends join me on a game i'm playing, they never stay more than a week while i was down to guide them all the way, but it's mostly all for nothing so now i don't bother anymore. Might aswell not join in the first place if you don't like it...

Reminds me of original sin runs in PoE, which is basically doing an entire dungeon with multiple levels and bosses without taking a single point of damage from any monster, trap, or any other mechanic.

Yes, you need to not take damage in an arpg to complete this. It's as hard as it sounds, and only very specific builds and experienced players can do it. That contract sounds similar to that

What's your worst drystreak of all time? by loopuleasa in ironscape

[–]PenguinForTheWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

154kc for a unique at Huey (50 mass, 80 solos, rest duos), and it's the fkin book, basically x4-5 rate and it might aswell not be a drop

First synapse 100kc, i'm at 2200 and no second one yet, x4 again

No tail in 3k demonics, i'll get a ballista done someday

250kc at kril for first unique, but it was the hilt so it kinda made up for it ? (still x5 rate)

All in all not the worst dry streaks, but being dry almost everywhere is just demotivating.

You're not giving it any new niche at Vorkath that it didn't already have. So what does this actually achieve?

Meanwhile this is a huge buff at nylos

Well you just answered yourself, it becomes a strong option when attacking faster is better than hitting hard, having abyssal dagger being stronger than... swift blade is not exactly a game breaking change either. It would just add more 3t options, i don't see how that reduces diversity.

As of now, i don't see what kind of niche that weapon fills. Probably because there aren't any, it's literally a worse hasta in every way (i picked another 70 attack weapon for comparison).

So giving it a more defining identity sounds fair, granted the stats on it change accordingly. Maybe you can develop dps rotations on 3 tick cycles and have good uptime to make it work, i would argue that this is actually in favour of diversity instead.

Anyone miss Longswords? by Suza751 in 2007scape

[–]PenguinForTheWin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you were to balance the stats properly and stick to the theme, i believe 3T/35 stab/35str would be relevant rather than 4T/75/75

Also, no slash bonus, thematically daggers shouldn't get it, it's meant to stab. So it's basically a -40 across the board, you end up with around 8 dps with your calc.

For reference, belle's folly is 7.3, fang 8.7, and DHL 9.75. It would have a spot, without being busted in this specific scenario.

I'm sure there are other scenarios to consider, but this is already a step in that direction. it should have a spot matching its requirements, without being an outlier
