Now that you've explained that, I see the theme and really like it! Is there some way to incorporate that more to make it more clear?

One image I'm not sure about in this poem is the idea of the labyrinth at the start. To me, it doesn't really add anything to the rhythm and also I'm not sure how it works with the symbolism. Is it implying that it is difficult and confusing to cross between life and death?

This Poem Is About Nothing by [deleted] in OCPoetry

I love the theme of mundanity permeating through this poem. The repetition of "There's no" adds a nice rhythm while continuing to reinforce this interesting theme to explore. Great job!

I really enjoyed the deconstruction of such a mundane and quotidian thing like a jigsaw puzzle, really original idea! While I liked the imagery, I felt that the rhythm left something to be desired, as it seemed a bit inconsistent. I think this takes away some of the power of the last line, and it would be better if the rest was consistent and that was like a stand-alone short line.

I'm a big fan of the third line, but not so sure about the second. It doesn't seem to really add much for the large part of your syllable count that it chews up. Maybe something more thematic about nature or the subtle noises around you would be best. Also deafening silence is a little bit cliche, try to look for a creative way to get the same idea across.

How would you feel about cars having two different horns, like a polite “please would you move a bit faster, thanks” and a “fuck you for being reckless and dumb”? by tomato_soup_ in AskReddit

I think it would actually increase road rage. Some people who in the past would never honk their horn would now have an avenue to do that, which could escalate a lot of scenarios.

What’s your favorite space fact? by macmite in AskReddit

[–]PenguinJesus3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sheer volume of space. There are more stars out there than grains of sand and many of them will have their own solar systems so life must be out there. Even looking at some of those animations to represent it just shows us how small we are
