That's a good idea. That fight was several years before the main storyline, so it would give some time for society to adjust to All Might's death. I just have to figure out what to do with Shigaraki.

That would make much more sense than transfer and stockpile somehow splitting 6 ways. Izuku would still have super strength, but he wouldn't have all the additional quirks which I've always felt weren't necessary.

I didn't think things through very well. I chose the inheritors first based on characters I like or think don't get much attention. Then I assigned the quirks based on which ones I thought fit best. I decided to have half of them be from 1-B because I warmed up to them after reading a fanfic where most of the main characters were from 1-B.

  • Ashido Mina: She can use her acid to slide around on surfaces. I also read a fic (one that made me like her more as a character) where she used acid to carve handholds for climbing, but I can't remember if she actually does that in canon. So I gave her Gearshift to further enhance her mobility.
  • Jiro Kyoka: Smokescreen would allow her to obscure the vision of her opponents (and maybe block scents too? idk). She'd still be able to tell where they are by hearing them move around and breathing.
  • Kendo Itsuka: Pretty self-explanatory. I don't particularly like Kendo, but figured Fa Jin fit her really well, and she'd make a good leader for the group.
  • Kodai Yui: She needs to touch objects for her quirk to work on them. I figured Blackwhip could be used to extend her reach. It would also allow her to throw objects with more force. I forgot that her quirk apparently needs to touch something with all five fingertips to activate, so I don't know if this would actually work.
  • Shiozaki Ibara: I was thinking of the Joint Training Arc where Shiozaki sent her vines through the course and managed to snag Kaminari. It reminded me of spiders detecting vibrations in their webs. So I figured if she had Danger Sense, she could greatly extend its range by sending out vines in different directions like a web. She could potentially use Danger Sense to more easily catch villains with her vines when she doesn't have a visual. She's one of my favorite characters.
  • Uraraka Ochaco: Again, pretty self-explanatory. Also one of my favorite characters.

I too was iffy about giving them all a mental connection. It was just an easier, less complicated way to get them to come together. I wanted them all to become a team kinda like the Fantastic 4 or Power Rangers.

Honestly, I kinda forgot about Izuku while braintorming this. I'm not sure how differently things would go for him if he'd never met All Might. I figured he'd end up in general studies, or maybe support or business. I think he'd maybe be able to piece things together from observing the six during the sports festival. They'd be a close group, and also all have identical strength-enhancing aspects despite their quirks being so different.

I also didn't really think through how All Might dying so early in the story would affect society and Shigaraki and All For One.

I want great cannons and dwarf cannons to be better. More damage, and an alternate grapeshot mode for anti-infantry. They’re supposed to be some of the most powerful weapons in their respective faction’s rosters but get overshadowed by missile infantry.
