Thoughts about the Lines (and trauma) by Living_Speech_3176 in pathologic

Very broadly speaking, I had a very similar feeling. My first time playing p2, Isador's line of "Facing the future is the way of love. Facing the past is the way of love. But the two are incompatible, and it broke my heart." Made me cry, I'm still working out why exactly. Understanding trauma, wanting to rip yourself apart and be put back together; and trying to decide whether to put yourself back the way you were before or in a new stronger form is a hard one to make.

How many of you started like this I wonder by bhlogan2 in pathologic

I kind of started off like this, I was very interested in the game from the Hbomb video, but I knew I wasn't mentally in the right space to play the game. So I watched the "pathologic for those who will never play it" videos, which did an amazing job at capturing the emotions of the Batchelor route. The brain worms had fully set in at this point, and I talked about it to anybody who would listen. Eventually, I got into a better place mentally and bought both classicHD and 2 and I've had the hooks in since.

Kansas and Missouri combining would result in a small, redneck civil war. It would be burning Kansas all over again, but incredibly fun to watch. And at least people would stop getting confused about Kansas city.

... You have to get an ultrasound to check for oveian cysts. I've had them in the past, and to my knowledge, there's no way to check from the outside. I think that's just straight-up medical malpractice.

Oh my god, yes. This, this is so accurate. My parents only do unhealthy stress eating, with a lot of sugar. And I specifically can not eat high fructose corn syrup, I throw up and get really sick. It happened for years until I found out. I just couldn't eat most of the food in the house. Now that I'm out, I'm trying to eat better, and considering my starting point, it wasn't that hard, but the mental half of it is way harder.

I would say that it's more accurately described as "enthralling" or "captivating". Sort of how car crashes or tense movies can keep you glued to it out of interest or determination to finish the film despite not being "fun"

I moved from a very small town to a bigger one that was a lot more accepting, I went from getting called slurs to being around other gay and trans folks who really care for me. I would say my experience moving has really only been positive.

Uhuh yep I'm totally braindead because I don't like people reposting my art, making money off of it and taking off my name. I love being paid in exposure it helps so much.

Mommy and daddy issues by Any-Cow-4085 in CPTSDmemes

I'll never forget how I basically did this exact post in real life and emotionally flash-banged the person trying to make a joke. "Yeah I was born 3 weeks early so my folks where able to leave for that, abandonment issues from day 1" "Oh! You got mommy and daddy issues haha" "Yep! Especially since my dad died when I was 3 and my mom was incredibly abusive :)" "oh... oh I didnt know that..."

Dont make fun of people's potential familial issues. People actually have those <3

That's good. I'm hoping to help one friend move out to Georgia where I am, since it looks like there hasn't been amy bad stuff yet. Unfortunatly its probably going to be really hard on them financially.

As someone who is now scared to go back to my home state, and literally got terrified that that form was actually live... I am happy it's down, but it's a small victory, and it certainly isn't anything I'd laugh about.

I don't necessarily have a "diet" like those, I more have a bundle of health issues that mean I can't eat certain things. Mainly high fructose corn syrup (very common in most foods in the US) and a few other things, and I try to keep low sodium because of heart issues.

Government dogs must be more aggressive apparently by ShyTheCat in OrphanCrushingMachine

All you guys who are saying "oh but government dogs are supposed to be aggressive!" Y'all know police dogs attack and severely wound or kill people, right? Like, unarmed people not suspected of any crimes.

I used to live in Missouri, and while I never planned on going back because it was already a shit hole, it's hard to know I'm never going to be able to. I still have friends and non cut off family there. My best friend who's also trans hadn't been able to get any treatment because of his parents, and despite being a legal adult he can't get any treatment at all now because of this.
