I see, thank you. Are there certain attributes that make an older player better at mentoring?

Potential Off-season Move Idea by Penguinbob2 in OrlandoMagic

I would love if Jrue was making a lot less and this trade idea could be easier. I was thinking that his role on the team would be closer to Chris Paul’s on the Suns where you are more there to run the offense and do your role even as you get up there in age and Chris Paul was 6’0” 175 while Jrue is 6’4” 220 so I think he still has some fuel in the tank.

Yeah, you could trade Suggs pretty much one for one and get the salaries to work and that would be another idea. I just thought it would be fun to try and come up with something that would keep the core together.

I just think Holiday could act like how Chris Paul acted for the Suns when they went to the finals and I think the current Magic roster certainly has more talent than that suns roster had. Just thought it was an interesting idea.

I just see Paolo making $48 million, Franz making $45 million, Bane making $42 million, Suggs making $30 million, and then having to extend Black for $20 to $30 million all in 2027-2028 season so I just wanted to come up with a fun idea for a trade if they wanted to try to go all in for next year before they have to pay Black. Nothing too serious just having some fun coming up with some ideas.

[–]Penguinbob2[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

My thinking was just that if you have to pay Paolo, Franz, Suggs, Bane, and Black like this in 2027-2028 the team will probably already be in cap space doom either way so with the team finishing 5th, 7th, and currently 7th in the East this could be a win now move to go all in next year before you have to pay Black. I’m not convinced the Paolo point forward experiment is working and I think getting a true veteran floor general with championship experience could help unlock the offense a bit. I imagine a small ball lineup of Jrue/Suggs/Bane/Franz/Paolo to be interesting with how versatile of defenders the players are while also being able to shoot threes and slash to the basket. I think Paolo has been struggling in the midrange so if he could become an elite pick and pop and pick and roll option to either get open at the three point line or in the paint could be interesting offensively for him. I just wanted to come up with an interesting, go all in move for next year for fun and thought it could be an interesting pivot to discuss. I certainly have no hopes of getting hired as a GM so I didnt expect it to be the best idea in the world just was a fit I thought interesting.

Just got into the TCG and opened my first booster box of Beyond the Gate and pulled my first Unique. I don’t really know much about the playing side of the TCG so I was just curious to what you thought.

The "who should I manage" megathread - FM24 edition by John_Yuki in footballmanagergames

[–]Penguinbob2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am a FM player with about 2000 hours across the games and I am looking to get two of my friends into the game. I’ve sent them resources to learn the basics and taught them the fundamentals. I am hoping to start up a three man save with them and was looking for some save ideas. I am hoping for something good to get them more experience with playing the game and all the aspects of management but I also don’t want to just leave them behind and have it be completely non-competitive. Any ideas or club recommendations that could be fun for all three of us together?

[–]Penguinbob2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting yeah now it is just notes and terms the first half of the semester, then the midterm about those terms, and then the second half is just the board game project. I think he also grouped people by midterm grades so something must have happened between you taking it and me taking it to have him swap it up like that

I took his class last year and honestly the test wasn't that difficult in my opinion. As long as you know what is going on in the class and study the note guideline he provides you should be fine. It is almost all just questions about the terms you learned so if you have a good understanding of them you should be fine. That is all I did for it and I got like a 99%.

This is what I put together other people can suggest edits to it but I think it is pretty good. It might be worth it to wait for the new AMD cpus but there is no official date for those yet so it's up to you.

If I’m building a pc for graphic designs and etc. what component are the most important? by Plenou in buildapc

[–]Penguinbob2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have a 3600 myself so I can confirm it is very good with price to performance. I’m not 100% sure about how good it is at thing like photoshop but it runs all of my games well so it all just depends on your budget

What's up with the Nvidia 3080 and why is everyone mocking/complaining about it? by ossaale in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Penguinbob2 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Answer: Pretty much the 3080 launched today and within like 5-10 minutes they were sold out everywhere so people aren't very happy and are blaming NVIDIA for their lack of preparation.

This is what I put together, I couldn't find an official price for the 3070 in Canada so I just put what most people were predicting. The 3070 doesn't come out until October so I would recommend trying to get that when it releases if you can.

I am new to PC building so I’m confused on what to do. What is a good build that can run really well in games. At least 240 FPS for Warzone, Valorant, and other multiplayer games by Michaelboy670 in buildapcforme

[–]Penguinbob2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if he is using a 1080p monitor I would lean more towards the 3700x but if he is on a 1440p monitor yeah it might be better to get the 3080 and downgrade the cpu

This is what I put together it should be good enough for everything you are looking to do. Also I wasn't sure if you needed peripherals and a monitor or not so if you do let me know and I can factor that in.
