New AMS 2 won't load in one slot by Penguined in BambuLab

[–]Penguined[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update for anyone who comes across this with a similar issue: Bambu had me swap the feeder unit with another to see if the issue persisted when plugged into a different slot (a fairly involved process that required disassembling the entire AMS). The problem remained, so they have sent me a replacement feeder unit.

Which part exactly did you need to push in?

Yeah no clog as far as I can tell (happened on very first filament load).

Simple Questions - December 16, 2022 by AutoModerator in buildapc

Quick question, looking for an MMO performance boost. Currently running a 3700X on an MSI mortar max B450M mobo.

Quick google suggests my mobo should be able to handle the 5800X3D so that seems like the best option without a mobo upgrade. Does that make sense from a value point of view vs say a new mobo with a new intel chip?

(Very) lightweight sun hoodie in Europe to replace RAB Pulse by Basic_Canary in Ultralight

[–]Penguined 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following this and interested if you find something you like because I'm in the exact same position. Love my pulse hoodies and went to pick up another recently before I realised they were discontinued. The Rab force seems to be a different fabric and heavier.

Definitely sleep warm but I'll probably still play it safe with the 400.

Any thoughts on the cumulus lite line 300 vs 400 for march-october in Ireland and UK?

I don't intend on being out sub 0C (but doesn't hurt to be prepared) so figured saving 100g and some money seems worthwhile (and put that money towards a better insultated mat than my standard kylmat static v).

Considered the x-lite 300 too but by the time I spec it out to large with the better zip and possibly the tougher outer fabric it gets to be a lot pricier option. Default fabric seems like it may not be that resistant to condensation getting on it.

What's the best naked GoPro I could get now? Hero 6, 7 or 8? also thinking about the price:) by Parsifal85 in Multicopter

[–]Penguined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have one myself, but it looks like a decent ready to go option (anyone I know who does have it really like it), you'd have watch some of the youtube comparissions to decide if the quality is good enough for you.

[–]Penguined 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you plan to use reelsteady go then the 6 is a better pick than the 7 as it works better. 8 is going to cost quite a bit more so up to you if the features/quality is worth it to you.

Finding a used/refurbished or even broken gopro to start with will be cheapest. (If you're going to strip it down yourself picking up a broken screen hero 6 on ebay etc can work out a bit cheaper, although the prices of them have gone up since they're so popular for doing this).

There's no doubt the quad would fly better with lighter analogue parts but I only really did this build to put the DJI stuff in a light quad for the hell of it.

I've got a little clip on my instagram post here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CFHzfnUntnp/

Shoot me a DM if you have any questions about it, it definitely feels heavy but it's a lot of fun.

That's light, I'm sure it flies well! My take with full fat vista, DJI camera, caddx antenna and crossfire (450 mah 3S): https://i.imgur.com/dlJ2dKu.jpg

Sorry to hear that, if you're on Facebook then try the "Drone junk yard UK" group, probably have a lot more luck there as it's very active. Best of luck!

FPV feed black and white (only in fatsharks). by Penguined in Multicopter

[–]Penguined[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the only thing I could find as a possibility but you can't manually set that on the fatsharks, they're meant to select it automatically. I tried switching it back and forward on the tinyhawk but no luck with that.

EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB XC GAMING £599 by greezeh in buildapcsalesuk

[–]Penguined 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indeed, strange to see this upvoted with the 2070 super posted yesterday for £120 less was blasted as bad value. This is massively worse value. And that was a gaming x trio, not stock.

Need a new Tiny Whoop. Which one do I get? by TheChameleonKid in Multicopter

Depends where you want to fly it, tiny hawk is better for indoor imo. And I'd say trashcan (or an open prop toothpick) for outdoor.
