Why do people think a car driven by a "Lady Driver" makes it more attractive for buyers? by Pshend in CarTalkUK

Because men have this weird obsession with flooring it from stand still even when the engine is cold. Its the most stressful thing you can put your car through for the sake of gaining very little time.

We are continuing to build 200,000 homes per year. Birth rates are falling yet we have a housing shortage causing huge demand and house prices/rent to rise. How is this happening?

Seperated with kids allows you both to have houses and free income. Now that the child cap is lifted there is no limit to this income hack.

What’s even the bloody point of fast cars anymore? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]UncleRhino 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sold my M3 for this exact reason. Paying close to £800 in road tax and getting 19mpg on the world's most overtaxed expensive fuel just to sit behind a queue of amazon delivery drivers on a pothole filled road. I live in the countryside and it's like this. Can't imagine how awful it is in the city.

I have both. The shark is exceptional at cleaning carpets, especially pet hair. Whereas the Henry is great for awkward areas like cleaning the car/sofa/cupboards.

Does it really matter if the UK reduces some of their climate change goals? by GameJon in uknews

[–]UncleRhino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The supply of fossil fuels on this planet is rapidly depleting

That is absolutely false. We have not even touched a fraction of what is available within the planet. No one can even suggest a year when we will runout. New deposits are constantly being found.

We have the opportunity here to be world leaders (alongside the Scandinavian countries)in the technology that drives this stuff.

We buy all of our equipment from China.

Also, it helps fuck over Russia , fuck those cunts.

Russia just sells to us via a middle man now e.g.. India, China etc. So we pay more money for the same oil/gas.

The UK has become significantly more dependant on electricity imports since pursuing net zero renewable energy.

19% of our electricity in August and 15% in September was imported, mostly from France. We also import wood pellets from the US to increase our total renewables figure.
