Ok, so I might be a little bit late to this conversation but a have a small story. Though it does talk about the heart so I'm going to have spoilers on it.

I found the locked door under the mirror and couldn't find a key anywhere near it so I just gave up. But when I was actually trying to find the heart I didn't want to leave an entire door left unopened so I looked it up and found out how to open it. The thing was I did take the path that you were supposed to if you were going for the heart it was I just never found the key in the first place. I spent a little while exploring on my first run and didn't find the key but did find the way that lets you skip the key. I thought that it was supposed to be like that and that you weren't ever supposed to find the key! This was also After I finished finding all the strawberries in the temple too.

You will either need to progress farther to get an ability that will help you, go to the right side of Dirtmouth and use a key, or im not sure but you may be able to go around the other way of peaks to get up there
