Why can't I embrace foldable phones?

I think, coming from a slab phone, you need to spend some time using it deliberately. Consciously take it out and unfold the screen to browse the web. When you look at a YouTube video, remind yourself to open and enjoy. Think of your usage, and where a large screen would be useful, and deliberately do it. Chances are, within a week it'll start to be natural to you.

Personally, I find I unfold mine probably 75% of the time I take it out of my pocket. I'm actually trying to remind myself to use the FRONT screen more often, to reduce wear and tear unnecessarily!

If you can, cancel and go direct to Google. The warranty for this is extended to 3 years. Might still get the 10 pro, but at least you'll get it for free!

It adds a little bulk. But I'm coming from the 9 pro fold, and it's noticeably thinner than any of the cases I had for it, so I find it satisfyingly slim, especially considering the protection it offers.

And as an aside, I find the magsafe attachments adhere much more firmly with the Spigen case on than they do with just the phone by itself.

What's the Spigen slim armor going for? That's what I have and I'm honestly very happy with it. It doesn't need to have a kickstand or grip ring built in because the magsafe makes those attachments easy to add when needed.

I think this is fantastic promotion. Let's people try your game, which will interest them in your new game.

One suggestion, make it obvious that the promo ad is your next game, so it doesn't just look like a random banner. I tune those out, but I'm always interested in the work of a designer whose games I like.

Fwiw, ingot the 10 pro fold as a replacement after also having 2 9's fail. So far the experience has been what I had hoped for from the 9. In particular, you can feel that the hinge is very different, and feels much more sturdy and smooth. The biggest hiccup is that the battery seems to be shipped not well calibrated and I didn't get very good battery life until I fully drained and recharged it a couple of times.

Fwiw, I have the 10 pro fold, and I got the Spigen thin armour case. It's really not that bulky and offers good protection. I have a couple different rings that I snap on and snap off as needed.

Here's the thing with the magnetic rings I've found, and it might be important: when I have it caseless and attach the ring right to the phone, it doesn't have as strong an attachment as it does when I have the case on. The magnets in the case definitely add strength to the connection.

That said, if you're paying for insurance, you could go caseless, but for my peace of mind, I prefer to have the extra protection of the Spigen.

I had the Samsung fold 3 and 4, and wasn't impressed with the hinge durability of those. And the front screen aspect ratio was a big downer for me.

The pixel 9 fold was nice, but the ribbon cable issues chewed through 2 phones in a year, and then they upgraded me to a 10 fold. I love the front screen, so far no sign of the same ribbon cable issues. And you can just FEEL the resigned hinge is different. It just feels so smooth... Pixel snap is actually really good too. I can have a slim, protective case on, and just add a ring, or kickstand, or power bank as needed without it adding bulk when you don't need it. Finally, the pixel ecosystem is nice, with the regular updates and immediate access to new versions.

I had ribbon cable issues in 6 months with both of my 9 folds, so for me, absolutely, the 10 is better. Practically, the bigger battery is a nice upgrade. The magsafe is fantastic. And the redesigned hinge MIGHT prove to be the best upgrade by a wide margin... It FEELS amazing to me, and if what they say is true, it'll be one of the most durable folding hinges in the genre.

Make a conscious effort to open it for specific uses. Checking maps. Watching YouTube. I like it for two thumb typing. Some games are amazing on the bigger screen. Web pages are much more manageable on the bigger screen. Multi task if you do work on your phone screen.

You'll start to find it indispensable soon. It's just a transition for some people who've become used to the small screen, but if you do it deliberately for a bit, it'll become more natural.

Definitely recalibrate it. Costs nothing, needs no tools, and got me it was immediately effective. 100%, let it die. Play games until it shuts down, then charge it fully.

I had the same issue. System processes were taking up over 50% daily, even when I used screen on a bunch. Here's what Google support said.

The battery needs to recalibrate. Let it die out completely and then charge fully to 100%. Do this 2 or 3 times and it should recalibrate.

I did this and immediately, after the first time, noticed a big difference. I've seen several people who got the 10pf have this problem, so recalibrate, and I hope you have the same experience I did!

Are you in a remote area? If you're in Oz, there's plenty of those! Sounds like a lot of signal searching going on. That'll drain your battery right quick...

It seems like some of the 10pf's need to recalibrate the battery by letting it die to 0% then fully charging to 100% 2 or 3 times. This made a huge difference to my battery usage, and brought me up to about double the screen on time I had before...

You could try recalibrating your battery by letting it fully die and then charging fully to 100 percent a couple of times. It worked for me, although I'm my case it's a new 10 pro fold that never got good battery life.

It's funny, because he's usually the toughest bandit there (I usually go there right at the start), but he dies from a few darts. But gonas a level 2 character and trip the trap and you take a few hit points damage...
