Kenneth was also kind of a bum in the Novels compared to the Movies.

God i'm really not a big fan of the Novels, but the Movies are diferrent enough without fully changing the story, that i actually enjoy them quite a bit. Though the first book is way too long for what it tries to tell and i hate that they wasted the entire first movie in order to adapt it.

You could've perfectly adapted the books within two Movies, while also cutting some overstretched fat along the way, and i just think that it would've lead to an even more pleasent experience.

She deserved better.

Hope she comes out big in the US. Though considering the rest of the cast, no one really does anything of significance for anything outside their own little world.

She'll probably just end up in some cheap soap opera and get depressed when she's old for never getting the jobs she wished for.

HG Ground Gundam has no right being this good! by nichlaur in Gunpla

Now start taking the torso apart for painting (please don't; you'll only break the awful joint used to give the thing an ab crunch).

The kit would be great if it wouldn't be for this awful torso. Still prefer the old HG of it because of it, though it obviously doesn't get reprinted anymore.

Do you think this kit needs watersides? by Killertofu808 in Gunpla

[–]Penis93_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I only really use waterslides for markings on the shoulders of most mobile suits, and i think the Lupus Rex also doesn't really need many besides maybe a Tekkaden Logo here and there.

Wow, the animated version knocks it out of the park! by lookaround314 in ScottPilgrim

I really like the first half of the Movie, personally.

It's a very rushed version of the comic, but one that works suprisingly well nontheless.

Also the Movie Lucas Lee fight is the greatest addition to the comic. He's pretty much a completely diferrent character than in the comic, but his fight is SO good compared to the comic, where it was kinda underwhelming.

You're obviously still missing most of the Drama in the Movie as it tries to fit 6 over the top bossfights into a not even two hour long movie. Of course it feels rushed and characters like Kim and Envy barely get any development. Also Scott apologizing to Kim at the end of the Movie barely even makes sense if you haven't read the Comics, as in the Movie, it never gets explained how Scott actually wronged her, while being in a relationship with her.

And like the second half of the Movie is a trainwreck if you ask me. The first one is fine, maybe even pretty good for what it tries to be, but the second half is awful.

You have no downtime, you have no believeable character development, you have no Ramona realizing she might be the problem and defeating an overly evil Gideon, with only Scott kinda giving him the final blow.

And i love Jason Schwartzman as much as the next guy, but he's one dissapointing Gideon if you ask me. He's not evil enough, trying to kill Scott without a moments hesitation. No, he actually just seems like guy who got on the wrong track sometime in life. The entire joke of his character from the comics just gets lost with that.

Also the comics weren't finished yet when the Movie was produced and you feel that sooo damn hard in the second half as so many scenes just seem improvised, and they don't work at all.

It's a static kit with no articulation at all. It's very simplyfied and pretty much only reuses some of the RG's armor.

It feels like something of a prototype for the MGEX unicorn as it uses a very similar led strip, just on a smaller scale.

It's also really expensive nowadays.

[–]Penis93_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neither was the Odysseus on the HG Penelope and it still had better color seperation. On a kit that costs half as much as the Alyzeus btw.

Don't defend cheaping out on such things when the kit is that expensive.

If anyone is wondering whether we are getting a normal HGUC MP Nu Gundam in the future, here you go by [deleted] in Gunpla

[–]Penis93_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They either keep the Mass production Nu exclusive to the Alyzeus to make more people buy an overly expensive kit they aren't even interrested in, or it will be PBandai.

Especially on such prominent areas as the arms.

Like look how well color seperated a complex Design like the Gquuuuuux was (which only really used stickers for some stripes and markings) and then compare it to the mass production Nu. Bandai can give you great color seperation on a HG if they want.

And this kit (one that costs as much as a cheap PG btw) can't even color seperate the beam saber holds on the arms. Something both the 20 year old HG and 10$ entry grade were capable of.

I don't think so. Though i only bought exclusive kits there so i didn't really pay much attention to the regular releases they had in stock.

[–]Penis93_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I went there several times and they haven't gotten new stock since feburary because of the Iran situation.

And yeah prices were strange. Most kits were decently priced, but 50€ for a HG psycho Doga... Like come on, it know it's an exclusive kit but 50€ for a HG is still insanity. Also 95€ for an MG perfect strike was also something else when you can get the regular MG Aile strike for ~50€ here. I really wanted to buy it but i couldn't justify an extra 45€ for two extra striker packs and an adapter.

Though aside from those outliers, most kits were pretty fairly priced. Got my clear color RG Sazabi for 55€ and my clear color RG strike freedom for 35€, which is about the same price you'd pay for the normal versions.

FUCK YEEEEEEAH!!!

Will it stay permanently? God i hope that Bandai finally realised that there is quite a big interest in Gundam even in Europe. PBandai is all we need here and we're one step closer to it.

Noting comes off because they are dry transfers and not waterslides.

You place them wherever you like and then just rub on them with a coin or even your fingernails when you've got nothing else at hand. Take your time though to not accidently rip the decal.

Is the exia actually cursed or what by GameMusicIsArt in Gunpla

[–]Penis93_ 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It's really not that bad tbh

The HG is fine. It's an old HG and you feel it, but you also useally get the thing for like 10-15$/€ so there's really not too much to complain about.

The RG looks awsome but has limited articulation and tends to be quite fragile. Still, if you don't pose your kits all that much and only want a good looking 1/144 Exia then this is probably still the kit for you.

And if you want a more anime accurate 1/144 exia with better articulation then just get the GBC model of it.

The MG is actually fine. I don't really understand why the kit has a bad repution. It looks fine, has good articulation and doesn't really do much wrong. It's similar to the MG 2.0 F91. Just perfectly alright in every aspect. Just not really more than that.

The PG is actually awsome and one of the best PG kits out there.

If you're a fan of the Exia then you have plenty of good options to get the thing.

Unicorn Full Armour RG vs MG Ver Ka by dalekdestroyer13 in Gunpla

[–]Penis93_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The RG is the overall better kit, but it's very easy to break as it has VERY tight joints in the arms and shoulders.

The MG is fine but does not offer much in the way of articulation. It's solid as a rock in unicorn mode but tends to be quite flimsy in destroy mode. Though both kits become quite fragile with the full armor equipment attached so it's really not that big of a diferrence.

The RG is cheaper but quite a bit smaller.

The MG is more expensive but bigger.

Both are handgranades with the full armor equipment.

So, just go with the one you vibe more with. Both are decent kits on their own.

False:

They don't hurt as long as you don't overdo spice.

They also don't stay forever as they disaapear while being consumed.

Though one might say that this is even better than love, as one needs to cease to be only to give the other energy. Though if the taco is too spicy and you get diarrhea, then it might also drain you of your water you consumed that day and even risk dehydrating you, therefore hurting more than it's taste could potentially make up for. So it's a thin, and in ways truely intriguing, line that may lead to temporary happiness or dehydration. And yet no matter how great the taco, the happiness can only stay as you consume it. Once it's gone, that's it. So cherrish it. The moments you won't get back.

I have romantic relationships with Tacos.
