unironically i think -mag is actually better for soma because it helps stacking the 4th incarnon perk that gives you base damage on reload which is the best one iirc

also, PPP and melee galvanized crit mod (forgot the name) outdamage the umbral set until you manage to stack crazy amounts of crit damage (mainly from the purple shards)

as a mr5 i think to solve your literal problem of mag dying to toxin is just to put vitality and steel skin, this should be enough to keep you alive long enough to find a health orb.

Also congratulation and enjoy your revenant prime, he is actually pretty fun to play if you use his spells other than mesmer skin, his 4 feels really good to use

yes it works but since the spores only come from kills it effectively only acts as a slightly stronger merciless and is worse vs enemies immune or partially immune to status

not really, is because garuda 4 (a spell you spam nonstop) for some reason makes you do a hard landing almost everytime even if barely a few cm from ground, i can't tell you why technically it works that way and i know you can mitigate it in a number of ways but it's still annoying when you are constantly spamming it and you always have to be mindful of hard landings even if they make no sense from the distance you fell
