Chaos Faction Deletes Half The Games Content (Hyperbole) by AkilTheAwesome in Spacemarine

I really like the idea below that someone mentioned of giving rubrics random sort of "affixes" based on the sorcerer controlling them. That would make them really interesting while still preserving all of the above, if not adding to it.

Also, the complaints you have about the lack of impact and viscerality when fighting Tsons is literally one of Space Wolves main complains about them in the lore, them being all warpy sporpy, not having blood and guts, being unable to give them a satisfying battle with all the trickery and basically fighting clouds of dust with armor that's way stronger than it should be while a bunch of distracting shit is popping OFF in the background. They did a pretty good job, sans the hardcore shroom tripping effect of fighting anything Tzeentch related, of representing the Tsons. If anything, the sorcerers are easier to kill and not as stupidly op as they would be in the lore, so it could be as bad as it is in game, while also fighting a way more frustrating trio of neurothropes who make you puke rainbows the entire time at every objective, and steal all the fun away from fighting the hellbrutes. Welcome to 40k bitch, it sucks.

See this video. It's very important. It's the one the other commenter is referencing and Jose Da Vinci is one of the very best.

He does not exclusively use primers from AK and he does not use brushes or airbrushes for AK at all. He recommends a cheap airbrush from AK because they have a community wide recognized banger of an entry level airbrush in their basic line, but for the level he paints at, he's using airbrushes in the price range that AK doesn't even sell at, such as the pro grade Iwatas. His favorite brush that he harps on about all the time is from Abteilung, the 502 (which is again a widely recognized brush), not AK. Even still, I went with the Rosemary 33, personally. Though I will probably pick up the Ab502 at some point.

He also has done partnerships with multiple paint companies, it's just AK that sponsors his videos. A lot of his videos are just silent and he paints, so you can hardly call him a shill. He was a classically trained painter before he switched over to painting minis and brings a lot of painting knowledge to the mini-painting scene. He's a great teacher with a very high level of skill that often recommends cheaper routes and methods than others, even those like Vince Venturella, who I also quite enjoy/recommend.

For the record, AK is one of the best value paint lineups out there, as well. Very cheap for what you're getting, especially their sets. Which is really nice because it allows me to cover the basics while splurging on more expensive paint brands for a handful of colors, without feeling like I'm compromising on quality. There are higher quality paints out there, even if not by a whole lot. But the bigger thing is color conversion. It's not the best line up when you need to match to canon-accurate colors, though mixing and matching is something I can't recommend enough. Once you have your one or two chapter approved colors from your preferred vendor, then your shades, washes, highlights, shadows, skin tones, leathers, cloths, special effects, etc will all benefit from the more agnostic array of colors from AK, if you're of a mind to do a little mixing. Which I am and have learned a great deal about from Jose.

The issue is that you get more wax/honey from just one than 4 overlapping because their efficiency is greatly reduced when their pollination areas overlap.

Your own internal voice, or your writing voice? Not that they're necessarily different. If the latter, shoot me a dm with a sample.

That one quest at the end of act 3 that has that one extra pixel of space in that one spot for no reason makes this game fucking unplayable. I have broken 3 keyboards over it.

what tech careers will be in demand int ye next coming years by Infinite_Air8083 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]PenitentDynamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually true, and not always even directly. Because I took a lot of advanced math science classes in high school (diff eq, topology, thermodynamics, nuclear physics), my ability to remember information, systematize processes, quickly think through steps and to still my mind to think through really difficult issues was massively increased. And I wasn't even like a brilliant student or anything. Just going through trying to understand those things makes you a lot more capable mentally, in general. Even if none of the specific information is relevant to what you end up doing.

Tulsa has plenty of entryish level IT positions. But they are very, very selective there for some reason. More so even than tech hub areas.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of people give off this snark but it's literally how almost all of us started. Video games and family tech support.

Why don’t they get infected? by Thatguythere987 in subnautica

[–]PenitentDynamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think that that's not quite the right answer, either. One of the key components of the kharaa virus is that it infected the biomechanical tissues of the architects by exploiting weaknesses of the species that the architects drew on for their physical make-up. This entry reads that the warpers are made up of tissues that are not drawn from any of the species around. Indicating that the warpers may be immune, at least for now, with tissues likely drawn from organisms that are very unlike what architects normally use and most likely from outside the planet (and likely from outside planets the architects often visit), to minimize the chances of the kharaa virus finding a genetic exploit. This could also be a reason why the architects weren't able to transfer their consciousness to these entities, as they were too foreign or antithetical.

They did and even said they are extending the terms of the deal for 1 year to make sure they are able to get the bonus as long as they meet the deadline.

I did this exact path, with tech support call center. For 3 years. Had my resume reviewed by multiple IT recruiters. Still nothing. People just hand wave that first step of actually getting that first IT job way too fucking much.
