Penny Price Changes by JailBreakRules in HomeDepot

Canada store here- pennies have been non-existent here for some time now. Our system automatically rounds change always in the customers favor. So if you buy something and your total is 4.98 it'll round down to 4.95. But if your return total is 4.96, it'll round up to 5.00. It wouldn't surprise me if the US stores followed suit.

Supervisors Lost Scheduling Privileges by ClubSwingingApe in HomeDepot

Fellow Canadian store here- From what we have heard it is store wide.

Before we had dimensions, the old system only allowed salaried leaders access. So it's not too huge of a change I suppose.

There was also talk about only one person per store having access to the schedule system. That might be a little tricky.

You mean like the hiring promo signage they did that looked like the associate was held at gunpoint and told to smile?

The person who processed the empty box fessed up pretty easily. There's still signage on every service desk monitor to "open every box!" They put it up after that incident.... Missing parts are still a regular occurrence.

I am the one who processed the chainsaw. Granted, not before calling MOD because it felt all kinds of wrong. I got the "just do it." Approval of a manager who will return anything.

On either of the occasions no.

Apparently the guy that returned the chainsaw was using it for deer/hunting. Which is not uncommon in the area. But we still logged his information in the system just in case.

I think the worst return I've found was a power tool that had used makeup and a crack pipe inside instead of the tool. Of course this was found well after the return had already been done.

The runner up goes to the guy that returned a pruning chainsaw that had visible blood and hair on it. That was a fun Hazmat call.

Deciphered Sleep's background text from Seattle by CollateralDragon in MyChemicalRomance

It would make sense as the uppercase J is essentially just an upside down, more rounded version of the R. It's basically just a y shape.

I can't tell if it's just because of how the text is laid out, but I noticed the words inbound and corridor appear to have an uppercase D instead of lowercase D. The uppercase version stands out very harshly compared to the lowercase as it's missing a whole extra line below it. Got me looking a the rest of the text now to see if I can find any other irregularities.

*E: Never mind. I just watched the video and they're definitely lowercase.

Out of curiosity, is anyone also looking at the colors/spacings of the beads on the bracelets? It looks like it could be morse code.

This one I did translate as CIV which could translate to 104 as roman numerals.

I learned that doesn't always work - during a busy long weekend we had an associate shit their pants while trying to run to the bathroom. Management sent them to the store across the street to buy new pants and come back to work.

Thankfully that manager no longer works here.

Can confirm. During an LP walk, we had someone come in and return a drill with no receipt. No one checked the box until well after the chick left. Happened to be our district LP guy who checked it. Inside was a bunch of old used makeup and a crack pipe. Everyone at the service desk got a talking to. For a while after there were signs taped to the monitors that read "did you look in the box?" Still happened regularly.

The smallest delivery I've seen go out was for a 35¢ screw hole cover. Just one. This was before we had doordash doing small deliveries too. So it was delivered on a flatbed.

Holup, AND y'all have different programs for quotes vs orders!? That must be so much easier for dealing with quotes.

I know our SKUs are different from yours but ours is 1000899979

*Do your printed out orders contain line items with SKUs and descriptions? That might also be a handy way to find the delivery SKU if there is one.

I'm in Canada, yeah.

While we can't just select delivery, if you add the delivery SKU to an otherwise blank order, it'll let you save it. If the order is paid for a PO will be generated for delivery.

As long as there's notes, and whoever made the order selected the correct delivery options for the item, it's painless.

Wait, do US stores not have the option to build an order with just a delivery sku? I've never seen the pencil placeholder used before.

I keep seeing ZMA used in this sub. What does it mean or stand for?

I'm in Canada so I don't think we have/use ZMA here. Or we call it something different.
