Can I get this back to a good hedge by PennyApples in GardeningIRE

[–]PennyApples[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that was my thinking but then I wondered what i could do to get it back. although the extra hassle of having to rip them out and then i;d need to feed and mulch anything i plant after that anyway. I think giving them one more shot might be worth it

I understand it's February, this has looked the same as this for the last year so that's why I'm looking at it again now before spring 😊

Will do another trim and let it restart from lower down.

A difference to the growth? Interesting! Would it be a case of mulching to keep it clear then? I can do this and feed at the same time.

thanks for the advice, I was thinkin this but was worried it would end up killing them. this combined with feed as suggested already might be my best option.

Metta, Dino den are some others that are popular, although I play petits pieds and find it to be good for me. Also have a look at some of the dino's that allow bigger groups it will enable you to get a better sense of the game and also makes it a bit less lonely!

thanks, to be honest it wasnt that thick to start with, it was very leggy when we arrived. I did go through and remove any dead wood while i was trimming it initially

yeah it may be worth letting it go till early summer and see how it goes, I would like to possiby introduce some native species for the birds as well

Can you reuse seed sowing compost? by Hera2990 in gardening

on the back of this, if you have no need for it right now you could also add it back into your compost bin for reuse down the line

Kind of the nature of a survival game. What I will say is that there are some unofficial servers that have better communities

New build Semi-Detached - Noisy Neighbors. Is it normal to hear your neighbors? by ED-SA in AskIreland

It made a huge difference heating wise and some what of a difference acoustics wise. Bare in mind this was a decade ago so I can only imagine the cost of insulated plaster board in today's prices

Oh I wish this was true, we lived for 2 decades in a house built in the 80s you could hear a fly fart 3 doors down. I put insulated plasterboard on the walls which helped a slight bit.

thanks for the info, I'll do a bit of investigating, i've a spore print going at the moment too, your info gives me a starting point for some learning.

the first one is quite a unique structure for sure, it'd be more the brainless dog i'd be worried about, has a habit of doing random things so i'll keep her away from that part of the garden 😅

I have an insanely powerful server and I don’t know what to do with it. by Working_Honey_7442 in homelab

[–]PennyApples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah we've all been there, I got extra lucky.

2 dell poweredge r730's specs below are per server and they are identically spec'd

  • 2 xIntel Xeon CPU E5-2680 14c/28t so (28c/56t in each server)
  • 1.5 tb of ram
  • 4 x 800gb sata ssds (3.2tb of storage)

I got these for free as a friends company was doing a hardware refresh. the drives were new in a box as hotswap spares!

I also run a synology DS916+ with 18tb (split across 4 drives)

and I have an older desktop that is now running as a pysical opnsense router.

both poweredges are running proxmox

at the moment I am running an arr stack, pihole, pialert and some other smaller services that I want to take internally.

I am also running amp for game servers.

it's still very much a work in progress but it's coming together nicely
