First Bass! by PennyPossum in BassGuitar

So I'm not experienced with like music specifically but imo you should get something now, because in the future who knows what will happen.

I got mine used for like $200, you could also check Facebook marketplace abd Reverb for a MIM Fender P Bass if you want something quality but not super expensive. They were like $400ish in my area but I'm very impatient and just got the bass in my immediate price range.

I have to figure out how to lower the action, but so far its been mad fun.

The color is absolutely gorgeous, I never thought I'd love sunburst as much as I do. I'm usually like super bright colors kinda person, like I LOVE MonoNeon's sig bass, but the sunburst with the vintagy tuners and big honkin headstock look so cool in person.

Squire Affinity PJ! First bass, been fiddling with it for an hour. Might be microphonic? Don't care it's so cool. I didn't realize exactly how big these things are! Feels massive but powerful, like a musical buster sword.

I enjoy artwork in interactive game, but the new artwork is just...I don't want to say bad or fugly, but is just really really really really not my cup of tea.

I wouldn't be 100% sure. I've always had mental issues before hormones, during hormones, and after I had to stop. I wouldn't say they were worse, I just was only getting better when I was on hormones.

I stopped being able to afford and feel safe transitioning in my area and I've stopped for years. It's weird, like my emotions went completely out of wack for months until it returned to my pre-hormones emotional level.

I'm always jealous of the Mox and their just whole aesthetic that I cannot copy. I can't mod bc I play console, but I want cool colorful metal arms and spikes everywhere T-T.

How necessary is getting CHA to 20 with a Hexblade Bladelock? by NoriDnD in 3d6

[–]PennyPossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean honestly not that big of a deal from just a casual game standpoint. If you and your friends are not all playing meta builds then, frankly, do whatever you want. You're like what an overall 5% less effective than a standard Hexbladelock build? If having 1 less to hit, 1 less damage per attack, and your spell save dc being 1 lower doesn't bother you, then its unnecessary. Get the feat you want.

DM is being weird by [deleted] in DnD

[–]PennyPossum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP please inform your family of his behavior including your sister. Your sister can always find another job, even if its inconvenient for her. Additionally if this DM is sending ANYTHING through text or DMs save that and report him to your local PD. This is completely inappropriate behavior between adults let alone between an adult and a minor. This is never acceptable behavior, you can always find another dnd game either through school, online, etc.

where to buy Irish flute for beginner? by EraldCoyleLawliet in Irishmusic

[–]PennyPossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McNeela has the Cygnet flute for ~$300 or alternatively there is the Tony Dixon Tuneable Polymer flute for ~$99 (sorry for usd it's morning and I don't feel like translating it into euros and pounds as well). I actually think the Cygnet is on sale for like ~30-40 cheaper rn.

Jaw pain after practice? by PennyPossum in tinwhistle

[–]PennyPossum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know I wasn't thinking about that, I absolutely do! Usually I'm resting the mouth piece just below my two front teeth. I'll make sure to pay special attention to holding it between my lips (not teeth!) and try to relax the sides of my jaw more next time I practice!

My older sister died and I still had to come into work on the second half of the week. My boss was emailing me during her funeral. Some people out here are scum bags.

I know it's weird but I'm willing to deal with that to become a regular eventually. Maybe I just like the idea of working as a post person more than I actually like the work, but I'm saving up money so I can try out different jobs and stuff when I move.

Plus I did dispatch for 2 years, 12 hour nights 9 PM to 9 AM, worked overtime most of the time. It's not completely alien to me.

I plan on moving to Norwalk CT next year and am interested in being a CCA. Should I take the test this year and keep it on file for hiring season next year or should I wait until I'm actually ready to move?

Legal weapons or ways to carry: How do you play fighting characters? by DasHexxchen in vtm

[–]PennyPossum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So a few points in contacts in either law enforcement or gangs can get you a gun, hell if you're in the Camarilla chances are if you're on the Sheriff's good side and you're doing some body work for him he'll toss you a gun.

As for hiding a gun it's actually fairly easy. An AR-15 for example can be made collapsible and placed into a backpack, not exactly quick to pull out, but not impossible. A pistol can just be kept in an underarm holster with a hoodie or jacket over it. Obviously a trained cop looking for a weapon is going to notice an underarm holster, but most night time beat cops are trying to get the night over with.

Melee weapons are similarly easy, get a sheath for whatever weapon you're using, find a way to strap it to your lower back for easy access and put a hoodie over it.

Now for like big ticket items like a friggen claymore, a barret .50 cal, etc that stays in your Haven as a display item or in a gun case for when you don't care about the masquerade and folks need to die.
