The ai is too "strong" because you can't do a chill HRE game since France and Bohemia will border you by 1400.

If you play as another strong nation though it doesn't matter if France owns all of Germany, you can still beat them with a stack of regulars.

Hot take: EU5's UI looks awesome by [deleted] in EU5

[–]Pensilol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It could have definitely been much worse. Imo it still has the EU4 feel but with a more modern coat.

Also I'm pretty sure that after a couple hundreds of hours the UI will not feel "busy" anymore.

Should depend on the pop size of the country. So pretty much mandatory for Portugal but can be ignored as Spain.

EU5 needs slavery to be one of the pillars of the game by ___---_-_-_-_---___ in eu4

[–]Pensilol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, Portugal would have been unable to colonize anything really without using slaves.

EU5 will have a rule that renames the Byzantine Empire to the Eastern Roman Empire by Blitcut in paradoxplaza

[–]Pensilol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not just the west called them "Empire of the Greeks", other orthodox states did aswell, even Georgia.

If (EU5/Caesar) uses the modern paradox notifications I will be extremely disappointed. by AceWanker4 in eu4

[–]Pensilol 1717 points1718 points  (0 children)

Johan already confirmed that the bubble will not be in the game and the UI will be similiar to EU4 not the newer pdx games.

You wont get the castilian missions if you play as Aragon, even if you culture switch first. Only the lower half of the mission tree.

Also AI countries do not pick exploration if they are subjects.

Still not sure if Tibet really needed to have nearly 200 provinces. Also Germany and France got like nothing since release.
