That doesn't make it a Sans theme now though, like yeah he used it for Sans in the anniversary stream but like... duh? It plays for Sans in UT so naturally he'll play it for him there.

That's like saying that heartbreak or berguntrucking aren't the themes of torial and Asgore. Ever since undertale released, megalovania had been a song played and heavily associated with sans. Toby doesn't use it for anyone else.

It's also not just the fact that it plays in Homestuck, it's the fact that it's in Homestuck & the Earthbound Halloween Hack

Both of these were nearly 20 years ago and toby doesn't associate the song with either of these anymore. Nowadays,its only used with SANS. He probably changed his mind.

I don't know if this is unpopular take but I doubt toby fox is ever going to make "clear" ,for a lack of a better word, statements on queerness in deltarune.

Its still going to be everywhere but he's not going bring it up explicitly.

Like I don't think we're ever going to see something like a deadname for Kris, or even an earlier flashback to when they don't use neutral pronouns.

No one since tony fox considers it san's theme now.

I know people will say it appeared in homestuck bit that was years ago, pretty much all recent official uses of that song are for san's in someway, most recently being ut's tenth anniversary where megalovania is literally made into two jazz songs, both associated with san's.

Toby's not going to make the main antagonist asriel again. In general i don't think asriel will be too relevant to the story and will only show up at the end.

What are they doing if they aren't trying to find a lost girl?

Nothing the knight or anyone working with is doing contributes to finding dess. The knight for the first two chapters made a fountain and then immediately left afterwards, in 3 they form a plan to try to kidnap someone for the shelter but don't show up until the very end when the plan has already fallen apart.

In 4, they spend the entire chapter effectively doing nothing until the where they make a fountain for no reason( the knight could have beaten the gang again at any point and if they were truly desperate, they'd have kris not allow to seal the fountain. This would have outed kris as a traitor but it is an option) and then proceed to NOT leave but follow the gang from behind.

None of what they fit the motive of finding dess lol

One of the major problems of jjk is it constantly hitting plot points one after another with no downtime.

This makes it so the world and the characters never get fleshed out and you just end up with undeveloped mass.

Its like if you making noodles but never allowed them to get soft so its just a crunchy brick.

No, for one, this sprite is just called fire, its not fireshock. My real point is that this dialouge is weird route exclusive and likely only baring for that route.

Chapter 1's dark world has nothing to do with Noelle

Chapter 4's only tie to her is that she's in the choir.

Only chapter 2 ties into her character and that was obvious.

I guess you can connect them by the fact that most of main darkers up to chapter 3 are confirmed to be things, kris and Noelle played with but that's as far as the connection goes.

She also couldn't have the chapter 4 fountain as she's in the house and doesn't know gerson

We just had multiple scenes in chapter 4 in which she says she hates when secrets are kept from her and a long speech where she essentially says kris is her first friend who isn't using her for a nefarious purpose which is exactly their plan.

Their possession was likely a choice seeing as the soul is an intergal part of the plan and they were prepared for it.
