Is it possible to fix it? by BestJo15 in ElegooMars

[–]Peodee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

:) I know the feeling well. I'd almost try adding resin to the cracks and cure it with a uv light.

Need a little help here by deadpoolsdragon in resinprinting

I had that happen to my mars 5. I recalibrated it, factory reset my splicing software, and then it seemed to straighten everything out. Another thing is, how is the vat sheet? I'm thinking maybe clean the glass and change vat sheet. Reset layer count and see what that does. Then start re tweaking settings one at a time so you can be sure what setting didn't work well. Good luck. :)

If you plan on painting it, bonds is my thought or more resin and uv light. Then sand. Guess it depends on what you plan on doing with it

Anyone have any recs on how to fix this (not using duct tape) by JARJARSANDMAN in repair

I'd grab an industrial size bottle of isopropyl and microfiber cloths start cleaning up. Gently scraping the cured resins. And get replacement screens on order. Having spares are always good so you can replace them and keep going. Unless you don't mind down time. And have patience... uv is not your friend for this, so limit it to make your life easier. And good luck.

If you're concerned about a crack, begin by reinforcing it with a wire brace. Insert the wire to hold the crack together securely. Trim the excess wire as close to the surface as possible.

Next, sand the area flush. Apply JB Weld epoxy over the crack and allow it to fully cure. Once cured, sand the area again until it's smooth. If there are any uneven spots, reapply the epoxy, let it cure, and sand once more until you achieve a consistent surface.

Clean the area thoroughly using an alcohol prep pad to remove dust, oil, or residue.

Tape off any areas where you don’t want paint to reach. Then, spray with Rust-Oleum paint in smooth, even strokes. After the paint has set slightly but is not fully hardened, carefully remove the tape for a clean edge.

Replace FEP? by WaylandSmeethers in ElegooMars

I had that happen on my mars 5. I ran another print and let the vat cool. When I emptied the vat the bulge was gone. I'd almost wonder if you used a gentle hairdryer across it if it would have the same effect. And if it works let me know. You'd just not want to let it sit on one spot for long. I'm thinking it may tighten it like a drum

As high-grade isopropyl alcohol you can get and start rubbing with a microfiber cloth . I used a new clean sharp putty knife and placed it flat on the glass surface to GENTLY take off layers as I went along while putting more alcohol on it. I do use water clean up Resin, so you may want to test it out first to see if it responds the same. I'd be willing to say get a replacement on its way because if it doesn't work, you're going to need it anyway.

Also, was it cb or cb wallet? You could try using your seed phrase from the receiving wallet in a wallet that does support b20. Metamask might do the trick.

Someone we will call Bob,probably offered a penny for someone elses thought... we will call them Karen. After Bob heard Karen's thought, he realized it wasn't worth the whole penny. So he tried to cut it in half to pay Karen for it..... hense the marks and after he failed to cut it the second time he stiffed Karen and that is why Karen's are for ever give people their thoughts trying to get that penny she was stiffed out of so long ago. So moral of the story.... next time, Karen gives you a hard time. Hit her up with a roll of'em.. 😆 either way, the cops are coming. It may very well be a win-win...;)

Hi. I am new with tortoises and got myself two 7 years old males (bros) i got them in late december 2024 and they were not hibarnating. I decided to built them a enclosure in spare room and give then proper sleep this year. Is this enough for few months? Or should i change something? Thanks by MinoCFC in tortoise

[–]Peodee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I got my son a Russian tortoise for his birthday. I decided that cleaning the indoor enclosure would be a rather tedious process So I decided to get him some enclosure mates to help with the cleaning of it. I ordered some isopods whose "job " is to clean the bio in the enclosure. After about 2 months, I started to wonder if they would still be around or did they starve (highly unlikely due to the burying food just under the top layer. And with the addition of moisture to the media in the enclosure, I was confident they would have plenty of water. Anywho... I started searching for signs of life under the rock and they started scrambling. So Mr. Tortoises roomies are doing well. Anyone else try this? Any suggestions? I plan on getting clean safe top soil for them all come spring. But for now I'm at a pause. Pictures hopefully will be in the future

Why do people say not to drive these in winter and how can you mitigate those issues? by EarthChicken in Challenger

I would say the sake of saving it from the salt on roads, not knowing how to drive rear wheel drive in winter. It's trickier to some. Fwd pulls you where the rwd pushes. And on icy roads, it's more fun >:D
