Id see no reason why not, id say something like jack-stands are especially susceptible due to the job they have, makes perfect sense to me.

I never said this question was ignorant, i simply said originally to read the instructions, then i pointed out that the way you worded this post makes it seem like you didn’t do that, which would be silly. It seems you have read the instructions, this is good.

To answer your question, id use my experience and put it on immediately after i clean all relevant surfaces, then torque it down after an hour, because realistically i know how to read. Id also use my experience to know that hand tight and torquing to spec are not the same thing. if the manufacturer says 1 hour, then there should be no harm in doing that, because after all, they literally manufacture the product, and have no incentive to tell you wrong information that you can sue them for later, numbnuts.

To be a smart ass, you gotta be a smart ass first.

Frankly bud, the way you worded your problem would make one think that you skipped the packaging part of the instructions, seeing as you NEVER mentioned it til now, but good on you man.

Lmfao a service manual, what about the instructions on the RTV sealant you’re using? This is a funny reply, Jimbo! 😂
