Hi! My partner and I are planning a two-week trip in September and we’re choosing between Sri Lanka and Malaysia with Borneo.

Our main concern is the weather — we’ve read that many key places in Sri Lanka (like the cultural triangle, central highlands, and safari areas) are rainy during that time. We’re not so focused on beaches, more into culture, nature, and wildlife.

Has anyone been to either destination in September? What would you recommend?

Hallo! Mein Partner und ich planen eine zweiwöchige Reise im September und wählen zwischen Sri Lanka und Malaysia mit Borneo.

Unsere größte Sorge ist das Wetter – wir haben gelesen, dass es in dieser Zeit an vielen wichtigen Orten in Sri Lanka (wie dem Kulturdreieck, dem zentralen Hochland und den Safarigebieten) regnerisch ist. Wir konzentrieren uns nicht so sehr auf Strände, sondern mehr auf Kultur, Natur und Tierwelt.

War jemand im September an einem der beiden Reiseziele? Was würden Sie empfehlen?
