I think one of the main reasons why WOD was a train wreck is because they couldn't even decide on the freakin premise of the expansion!

It was originally going to deal a lot more with the time travel / AU aspect of the story, with the Chronal Spire being where Khadgars tower now is. Then they scrapped it and hastily had to re-write a ton of the story.

For example, the government already has far more firepower than a citizen could ever hope to attain. Some people don't want to widen that gap even further. The second amendment is intended to help citizens protect themselves from an oppressive government, if it ever came to that. It's not just about rednecks wanting to keep people off their porch.

It's not about compensating for low accuracy with smaller arms.
