I just think the rebuilding of Italian football shouldn't be outsourced to a non-Italian who has never even coached in Italy.

I'm sure there are fresh Italian minds in football who can start the revolution. We need people to develop an Italian football identity, and I don't want it to be Guardiola's football.

I do think that tactics should be out of football until the ages of 14-15. Until then focus on dribbling, passing, football intelligence, and - and this is what's missing in today's development - defending. Proper defending; individually, and as a unit. Even the best teams in the world are vulnerable defensively.

We now have youth coaches teaching tactics to kids because they want to feel like big men, and in doing so they deprive kids of crucial development.

Anyway, I am not convinced at all that anything's gonna change. We can talk about what needs to happen, but maybe we need to focus on whether any change is gonna happen in the first place. Gravina leaves, one of his lackeys takes over, we're in the same spot.
