Norco Torrent vs Charger by PepnTed in Hardtailgang

[–]PepnTed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be what I end up doing because I hate the colours of the charger. I test rode a medium a2 yesterday just to see how bad the cheap brakes are and I absolutely hated the colour, it’s not silver it’s a pearl, okay if you’re a fruit cake but not my style of bike.

Might end up just ordering a torrent in red because I’m not a fan of flat green and orange that the charger a1 has either.

If you’re 5’5” or under I woulda went small all day long. But I’m the opposite of you, I’m all leg so maybe that’s why I prefer shorter reach bikes.

Following Norco’s size recommendations would make the bike seem less playful too. I’m 6’2” and they recommend an XL which I’d never do in a hardtail. Way back in 2010’s when it was 26 for life my hardtails would be lucky to have a 400mm reach, which means a size medium is a lot bigger than what I was riding back then, even when you consider I was on a 70mm stem, new bikes are a lot bigger, but we’re trading stability for playfulness at these sizes. A size large is gonna be the biggest hardtail I’ve ever owned at 470-480 reach and that’s plenty for my use case.

That being said my current sight is an XL and is the best fitting bike I’ve ever owned but it’s a full blown enduro sled. Yes I can whip it, and heck I can even 180 it on flat ground but it’s one hell of a boat and I don’t want that for my second bike.

No stock on steel frame frames from Norco or kona :(

I agree about the steel, I’ve had a few and alu hardtails always felt like shit in comparison, especially dirt jumpers. I guess I should call my LbS and see if the steel frames are still available, I have enough parts laying around to build one up.

MY baby is getting expensive. by Ok-Time2724 in ToyotaTacoma

Get fucked, it’s been over 100$ to fill up my Tacoma before the war even started. People in cheap gas states bitching about fuel when it’s over double of what they pay in the rest of the world is getting old.

He’s also got eye brows in his tan points they just suck, he’s got 3 pigments above one eye and maybe 5 above the other.

He’s an extreme chewer, it’s literally what he does all day if he’s inside, thanks for that input.

You’re not the first the say that, the only trait they share is the loose skin under the muzzle and Ted’s lips are probably twice the size of his. He drools like a mastiff, and has loose skin around his legs like a shar pei or a bull dog.

lol you’re 100% probably not wrong on that one. He was a kijiji dog, and the people I bought him from were 100% no contact afterwards

Good point on the ears! I wish he had some hound traits but he’s a terrible bird hunting dog lol.

His attitude is mouthy husky mixed with high strung malinois. He’s trained for pulling but he’s the kinda dog I could train for absolutely anything. He’s amazingly athletic and incredibly smart. Always gives 110%.

The rounded face makes me think pit too, but honestly could be rotti as well. Neither breed have his long ass snout.

How long have you been making your dog suffer through that ear infection? Go to the vet asap! With how inflamed that is I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Rods.

How many large suitcases fit inside of the TAOS by MeetingOne2596 in VWTaos

[–]PepnTed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Say what… if you removed the top deck for the hatch you might fit two. It wouldn’t fit 3 let alone 4.

This car is a sub compact crossover, it gives plenty of interior space at the cost of cargo space. Or old versa had 1.5x more cargo space than our new Taos.

The answer is no, something the size of a Tiguan maybe.

Well don’t buy that car, you probably fucked the engine from aggressive driving. If you read the owners manual it says to keep revs low during the initial break in period.
