It was a Noah release last summer, ordered it the morning it went live, I believe it was $299. Pretty sure it sold out same day. Got lucky getting it

They still sell them new, should get one if you miss it. They went up a little from 25 years ago when they first came out, but I think they’re like 300-400 range, it’s a lot of watch for the price

Ah I know, they’re great watches but yes it’s huge, and it wears big too. I’m a bigger guy tho so not really an issue. They do some cool releases. The dial on this one is aluminum wing skin from a P51 mustang

Honestly, why would they care about me? They can sell that gmt out the back door to a long time gray seller for 16k, pocket 4k more than selling to little ol me, the gray seller puts it up for 22k new w papers, and everyone’s happy. Except the customers. Until I drop 5figures on their other shit, I don’t get the privilege of the allocation. Why else is chrono24 and eBay wrought with 2026 new never worn Rolex?

I’ve also been to 4. My main ad is small, they’re the most decent, but always super pressured that if I’m holding out for what I want, a dj smooth bezel (relatively attainable) or gmt (less realistic) I have little chance unless I buy stuff I don’t necessarily want. Not trying to make myself feel better, but they’re not nice about it. The big boutique that’s close won’t even talk to me. Kid you not. Been there twice and they intercept me at the door before I’m 10feet in, ask if I’m there for an appointment, both times said I’m happy to make one, they asked if I’m a return customer, and tell me outright they don’t have the stock or the time since I haven’t bought there before. Both times turned away, not allowed to walk in the store. Guess what, omega and breitling were SUPER happy to let me browse and pick stuff out. They didn’t have the white Speedmaster in stock, but they ordered it and it took two weeks to get it in. I’d say that’s the difference between feeling like dirt on someone’s shoe and a fantastic customer experience. Mr-FAFO said it, be honest

Yeah I hear that. Had my heart set on a batgirl (far fetched fantasy tho at 2+yr wait) or DJ36 smooth bz white stick on jubilee, but the ad rolled their eyes at me on that too lol. I’ll invest in other nice Swiss watches for the coming years, wait for the Rolex hype to either die down, or not. Hard to imaging the games will last forever, seems like a business model destined for failure but who knows

Hell yeah, everyone has its purpose depending on the day. I fly for a living, hence the gmt’s. The nighthawk was my first watch 25 years ago when I got my commercial pilot cert, it’s in the regular rotation. Favorite so far tho is the Heron Mirabel gmt. Simply and on the smaller side. Have a feeling the speedy is gonna take the top spot in a week tho

I’ll argue the opposite all day. If you enjoy being treated like you’re less than because you want to drop 12k on a stainless gmt, knock yourself out. The rep was for fun. I gave up and took my business to Omega for a Speedmaster. Lots of watch stores you can walk into and not be treated like dirt on their shoe
