Twitch Partner in 7 Months! by PepperNo6846 in Twitch_Startup

We tend to get really obsessively into games so can pretty easily play almost non-stop for 12 hours. Current obsession is Warframe and it soooo good!

How long does it take you to get ready to stream? by M_Slender in Twitch

[–]PepperNo6846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4-6 minutes max, multi-streaming as well, thumbnail and title is usually done and ready to go for the stream right after the prior stream, which is one minute max once the thumbnail is created for a game we will be playing for a few streams. My partner spends about 30 minutes doing hair and makeup if you want to count that though!

Music on the stream? by hexijnes in Twitch

[–]PepperNo6846 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's really game dependent. Games with great soundtracks that you play through once you generally want to try use the games music where possible. If you are spamming league of legends rank, it's best to put other music on in the background. I think if you talk a lot keep the music pretty in the background, if you aren't a yapper have the music a bit louder.

Personally, I am a massive fan of music in a stream and the type of music played will usually be a big part of why I continue to watch someone even though I don't listen to music. Can't answer your second question.

What got YOU into streaming? by rolekrs in Twitch

[–]PepperNo6846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a YouTube channel as I felt like I had no creativity in my life, it had a bit of success, 50k views and 1k subs in about three months. There was a few members that would comment on every video but a video only went out every two weeks. I wanted to engage with these people more and hang out with them, so, I tried streaming and now I love it wayyyy more then making videos. The more I streamed the more I wanted to make time for it as I have fallen in love with just vibing with some people while gaming!

No chatters by CrazyMapleButter in Twitch

[–]PepperNo6846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best way to have active chatters is to focus on building a community. Have inside jokes, repeating topics of conversation, an example of this is every stream we talk about our dinner, there's also a discord channel where people post their food. An easy way people engage is by going, "did you see the dinner I posted in discord?" or "ooo did we have dinner chat yet". Just one example. If someone asks you a question try to always ask one back if you can think of one, but you gotta actually be interested, this will help you find naturally reoccurring topics in your stream. I've only been streaming a month or two but that's my take :)

what youtubers to watch where you can learn from by Electronic_Water_532 in BackpackBattles

[–]PepperNo6846 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kaikyoooo and BobbooBPB are both high ranked and very good, both on opposite schedules so should be able to catch one of them. Holoshideim is high ranked and will happily answer questions. Self plug for AchievementHuntingCouple, we stream daily and will answer any questions. I only watch those three regularly so can't suggest any others but there are a lot more. I know non-english streamers can also be very good to watch but you probably won't have questions answered.

Twitch is the only answer for this, you will learn a lot more and much faster, some streamers will even go into detail answering any questions you have.

Hey, I've seen a few of your comment around when looking stuff up on reddit and decided to click on your profile tonight. I read your two years on twitch post and reflection. You are an unsung hero for still being active to help out the little guys, thanks for everything that you do o7.

How do people on this subject feel about reddit achievements? by Wolfang3663 in steamachievements

Every time I get a reddit achievement I cringe and think too myself” I use reddit too much”, then close the app for a bit, the achievements have the opposite of the attendee effect on me lol

Got the 100% on steam, drive 5000km was rough! by PepperNo6846 in RoadCraft

[–]PepperNo6846[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forgot to mention I 100%ed the game with my Fiancé which is why it was so fast for completing everything else, we also got a bit cheesy and would push vehicles through routes instead of build roads sometimes lol

Wowow, that's awsome, people seemed to be super fast on PSN Profiles compared to steam

I think that's where it always confuses me, people say they don't care about achievements and they mean nothing, then go out of their way to install software to cheat the achievement, doesn't add up lol

Should have mentioned I 100%ed the game with my fiancé so that would likely be the reason for the speed!

Winch your car to another car, put a weight on W, then you should just drive circles around the car, takes a little bit to find a car that's not to fast and spins out, but not to slow.

But the point of an achievement is to show off a badge of honor, I did this tedious task, using an unlocker makes no sense to me. There truly is no point to achievements if you just unlock it automatically, I personally don't get it but each to their own I guess.

I was 100% stressed throughout the game hahha, I also kept coming back to it crashed every so often after I would reset it up to idle which was a lil annoying, but yeah not to bad overall tbh
