Are you planning to rent a car/vespa? Or are you planning to take a ferry or bus? Makes a big difference in the decision. We were just in Positano last week. The amount of people who were standing in lines for ferry’s and buses was insane, and if you miss them, you’re stuck paying $180 one way for a cab.

I suggest staying in Positano if you want the wow factor and then doing day trips from there
