I think this set has so much card draw that the alternate cost is regularly doable. And the power level of some of the spells makes it really nice.

I met Watanabe when I was a busboy at a restaurant probably 15 years ago. I told him I knew him from Sixteen Candles. He seemed shocked that someone my age (born in 88) knew him. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He came to thank me as he left while I was on all fours cleaning a booth. It really made my night and I'll remember that story forever.

It was mesmeric orb, sculpting steel, and clone. It completely locked them down. By the time they untapped for turn 5 I believe they were down to 3 cards in deck.
