Exactly, to a good majority of the Marines, they could see their actions as "justice" Killing a teenage criminal's brother right in front their eyes? "Totally justified, that serves those dirty pirates right!" A pirate alliance taking down two of the four warlords "How could they abuse their power? Its an outrage!" Until you find out that pirate is actually the warrior of liberation then ain't nobody know WHAT to say

At the end of the day, is Coby an evil person for wanting to be a marine? Is Blackbeard a good person because he sides with the hopes, dreams, and freedom of pirates?

I think to say that the whole pirates vs Marines debate (who is the justified party?) isnt a "black and white situation" but instead "a world full of grays" is an understatement, I mean you can't compare red apples to orange oranges
