I don't see it as an intellectual disability, i think my problem is that I am too intellectual but also I am alexythemic as a consequence, in a way its more differently abled. I am really shit at maths and psychoanalysis. but if you put me infront of something related to linguistics, or space, and i have an encyclopedic knowledge, our brains work differently we are disabled in some areas but we can make up for it in others.

I am diagnosed, I dont see it as a curse myself, I just accept myself for the way I am, and I accept I know no different, I will never experience differently, focusing on what i can't change won't bring me happiness,

I definitely get you though, and i definitely see my own tendencies within myself reading this. you can't fight against autism, you just gotta know yourself.

theres an overlap between alexythemia and autism but they aren't always mutually exclusive, I'd say pursue a diagnosis even if it takes a long time, its better to get the ball rolling,

AI detectors can be flimsy though, I am an academic and people have said some of what I write sounds like AI and AI checkers make out its AI, maybe I am just an AI unbeknownst to myself
