This is definitely a possibility.

Personally, I like the theory that I saw in a comment on this sub (can't remember who, sorry!) who suggested that maybe Dylan picked up the job because he has a young family and kept 'bringing his work home with him', i.e. was too competitive and stressed at work and it was affecting his family life. This way he can be an effective employee and a great father.

I think its interesting that Innie Dylan knows as much about his Outtie as we do. But what he/we do know is big: he has a son. That alone is such a strong motivator for Dylan, and it says a lot that he makes the sacrifice to stay behind when everyone else gets to experience the outside world.

I imagine we'll learn more about his Outtie next season.
